Continuum Split

  • You don't need
    for permanent quickness.
  • You can use it as part of your quickness rotation for more leeway and more alacrity whenever it is off cooldown.
  • If you're playing the Illusions traitline and use Continuum Split as part of your quickness rotation, you will have a 2 second downtime of quickness just before you can start your next Continuum Split. You can avoid this gap by doing another mid Continuum Split quickness rotation before using Continuum Split.
  • If your group is struggling with breakbars you can also spare it to use
    on a lower cooldown.

Illusions vs Domination

  • Illusions gives you more alacrity through
    , allowing you to keep up more damage phantasms, while Domination makes it easier to keep up quickness with the lower signet cooldown from

Combat

  • Cast at least two new phantasms after each shatter so that they can benefit from

  • If you happen to be on the wrong weaponset (shield) when your F5 comes off cooldown , you can use

  • When placing Feedback keep in mind where your group will stand in the next few seconds. When you're about to move don't place it on your current position.
  • You can stand in Slothasor and use your Distorton Shatter to negate all spores when he starts shaking. With the cooldown reduction from the Illusion traitline and enough alacrity your shatter will be available everytime he uses the attack.

mandatory in any raid group. only source of unqiue boons quickness and alacrity which increase the group's dps (hello eles) hugely.

Rotation and build may have changed but the demand for Chronomancers will remain until Quickness and Alacrity are deleted from the game. The rotation is less forgiving than pre-patch but still offers strong boon coverage that are key staples in any composition.

It's a really a good build but I would say some of the choices are bit confusing. I run this with my off hand being 2H and spec into it, I never shatter illusions to deal damage as I want to keep them up ready.

This is just me theory crafting here and maybe it's a bug it shouldn't work with 1H as they spawn illusions not Phantasms which shield and 2H do really well. You can even summon clones on down time which will help you stack might, which you can then give to your allies, the CD for all of it works better as well as you don't rely on being hit to get them to work.

Maybe I'm missing something but other than that, it's a really good build!

Excellent build for providing group buffs while making tanking of the boss very easy. Keeps position better than some other tanks. Love the quickness / alacrity (even though latter was nerfed).

I'm really enjoying the perma quickness this build offers to the Raidgroup, bringing a mesmer to have access to it has become a must for my raids.
