Overview

This build provides great group support while maintaining as much personal damage as possible. While the basic build drastically increases the group's damage output, it allows a lot of modifications to adapt to every situation and provide more defensive utilities for the group if necessary. You can play this build effectively in dungeons and fractals.

Domination/Inspiration is the most forgiving build for quickness/alacrity uptime. It offers aegis, personal distortion from

There are many variations of gear for chronomancer and some of them can be difficult to acquire, however they all share a common goal in their stat choices which is to reach as close as possible to 100% boon duration while under the effect of
. These gear selections assume you will be gaining extra boon duration from having 150 agony resistance and the Fractal Mobility Potion - if you don't have that combination you will be below 100%.

Usage

Choosing a Traitline

  • Domination/Inspiration should be run if you anticipate your teammates moving around a lot, making it harder for you to share boons.
  • Illusions/Inspiration should be run if you can easily stack in wells, but aegis and CC are still important.
  • Dueling/Illusions should be run if CC is not important or you expect the fight to be short.
  • Chaos/Inspiration should be run if you have Arcane weavers, if you need to share stability, or if you don't have a Druid and need the boon support. It's also the safest build for pugs due to high protection and vigor uptime.

Domination/Inspiration

With Domination/Inspiration, all that is require to maintain permanent quickness and alacrity is to make sure you gain benefits from the following skills while at 100% boon duration, simply casting them on cooldown without needing the use of
will sustain permanent quickness and alacrity on your party:

Continuum Split

  • You don't need
    for permanent quickness with the Domination/Inspiration trait setup.
  • You can use it as part of your quickness rotation for more leeway and more alacrity whenever it is off cooldown.
  • If your group is struggling with breakbars you can also spare it to use
    on a lower cooldown.

Combat

  • If possible, try to use your elite skill only during
    . This effectively decreases the cooldown of your elite to the cooldown of
    .
  • You can use your wells again if they come off cooldown and will be recharged before your next
    .
  • If you happen to be on the wrong weaponset (shield) when your F5 comes off cooldown , you can use
    directly after Timewarp and swap weapons immedeately to proc your sigil. After the short break when Continuum Split ended swap back to shield and do the second part of the rotation.

The utility value of this build is wonderful. Maintains a respectable DPS and has good survivability with evades. This is however one of the more difficult builds to play if you struggle to use phantasms effectively.
