Usage

General

  • Always rotate to where the teamfight is, try to avoid 1v1 situations.
  • Activate
    right before you start reviving allies if you can, as getting the rez refreshes the skill, wiping the CD.
  • Traps daze targets, making them formidable interrupts.
    is also instant which means it can be used to interrupts cleaving/stomping enemies while you're rezzing a downed ally. While traps don't trigger on downed opponents, if an enemy is trying to revive the downed you can start stomping, cast the trap to interrupt the rez, and get the stability from that.

Support

  • Aegis heals after blocking an attack. Massive amounts can be spread by Fragments of Faith, but the most reliable way to apply it is via
    , try to hit as many allies as possible.
  • Dodge rolls heal allies in an area for ~1.5k, pay attention to positioning as it's one of your strongest group heals.
  • Try to swap weapons near party members in order to get the most out of

  • Make sure you don't have an enemy targeted before you cast Can't find such skill "Orb of Light"! Please refer to our skill index. to make it easier to aim at allies. If it's off CD, always use
    before switching to another weapon set to not waste the extra healing. Before detonating the orb make sure it passes through the target party member to get the most healing out of it.
  • is excellent for creating a bit of breathing room by knocking enemies aways and absorbing projectiles, but don't keep the field up for too long if you expect to be interrupted or you won't be able to detonate it for extra healing. The knockback combined with Staff's
    can secure some extra capture point ticks too.
  • Your largest group healing comes from
    , and the 2nd biggest from
    . Both are susceptible to interrupts so be wary of your surroundings or have stability.

Self-sustain

  • While most of your CDs should be kept for allies, meditations and the trap heal are only for you - use them for instant healing, condition cleansing, and stun breaking.
  • Careful with
    - the invulnerability will prevent capture point contribution and won't save you from conditions you already have.
  • Block attacks to remove conditions.
  • Spam the mace AA chain whenever you have time for it, as
    heals for a decent amount. On some maps (especially Kyhlo) the chain can be used on buildings/objects too.

I play it with the menders Amulet and with the trait writ of persistence. It is a great build for supporting your group. U can use Line of warding as a kiting spot. weak against heavy conditions, because u can´t remove conditions from ur party.

It's the new way of playing ''Bunker Guard'', I played it couple of hours and it's remind me of the Ol'time.

  • Spear of justice is good to force overextend/punish and/or open burst on a target.

  • Shield of courage is very good for rez, bodyblocks and dps negation.

  • Wing of resolve offer a good amount of healing.

  • Sigil of Renewal, is good if you swap weapon in mid dodge to offer bigger heal.

  • Good amount of Stab, cause of Fragments of faiths

  • The traps are good to interrupt an action while you Rez/Stomp. (Very good Rez potentiel)

  • Way better pressure cause of meditation and fury acces

    Its a great build for carrying because of trappers are the first target in the beginning of mid fight. weaker then ele build by alot but pretty easy to run. very weak against raw dps and burst . Staff thieves melt on their vault, very little health.

    While it does provide an obscene amount of healing, it lacks the other utilities commonly found in other bunker builds such as group cleanses and damage reduction.

    Spiritual successor of traditional Bunker Guardian builds. Quite sturdy but lacks vital team condition cleansing. With so much mixed damage, boon corruption, and unblockable stuff, this bunker can get melted really quickly. It's still one of the few viable off-meta bunker builds but requires teammates to fill in the gaps to get the most out of it.

    An awesome build for a team with great synergy but not good for solo. This build requires teammates to take out targets as this build is generally weak on its own.

    Great build to bring Gaurd back into the meta. Very viable option to use this over Bunker Druid with AoE healing, High rez success rate, and above average party cleansing. In the right hands it can hold a 1v2 or 1v3 no question.

    I was very skeptical but damn, it really does work. Outstanding healing, blocking, CC, but lacks party cleansing.

    Very powerful bunker option. The high healing, blocking, and condition clear make it a difficult bunker to pierce. However, it is very lacking in support or damage. There's also probably a better rune it could use than Rune of Speed.

    There will be 2 variations of this: Bunker and support. Bunker will go meditations trap heal. The support version will go shouts, soldier rune and pure of voice. For this meditation version I would add sigil of purity to go with leeching, rune of the dolyak, and invigorated bulwark trait as options for a pure bunker. Protective reviver is really really good for support if you are rotating with your team.

    I changed it to a better synergy with traits and runes, hope you enjoy it.

    This build have great potential in ranked matches if your team don't have the support of a Tempest. Really good if you are mainly guardian and don't have experience with other supportive classes.
