Utility

For the optional slot:

  • - excellent Weakness Weakness and anti-projectile uptime for AoE damage mitigation, plus it's a cover condition that could make it harder for your opponents to remove Burn Burning.
  • - a stun break and mass cleanse on a somewhat long CD.
  • - stun break on a much lower CD than CoP with a decent passive but weaker active.
  • - this trap could squeeze even more burst damage out of the build if you can make your enemies stand in it and also has synergy with your rune.

Weapons

  • Shield and Focus can we swapped, some players prefer Sword/Shield and Sceper/Focus. Both setups are fine.

Equipment Variants

Rune

  • - better mobility in general.

Sigils

  • over - you can make this switch on both sets if you're having trouble dealing with conditions.

Usage

General

  • punishes enemies for moving out of your AoEs. Does decent damage and could also be used defensively while under pressure for that instant cast Protection Protection proc. Has good synergy with , granting you instant access to Stealth Stealth and Superspeed Superspeed in case you'd need to escape enemy focus/reposition.

Damage

  • Most of the damage in the build comes from the passive Burn Burn procs of , your F1 ability.
    • Your goal is to hit a target as many times as possible, as quickly as possible. More hits = more procs.
    • makes your F1 proc more often and inflict AoE burning. Hitting a group of enemies not only charges your F1 faster, but one proc also deals damage to all, which means the effectiveness of the build scales up with the number of enemies you can hit. As a result the build is especially deadly in situations where enemies are balling up, for example when they are trying to revive one of their downed teammates.
    • You should almost never use the active effect of as it turns off the passive and thus you lose most of your damage until it recharges.
  • empowered by is the primary burst skill in the build, striking multiple times in rapid succession and inflicting Burning Burning. The skill has multiple charges so feel free to use it often.
  • makes your symbols charge your F1 faster. For burst damage, try to overlap as many symbols with as possible while cleaving with your autoattacks.
  • on Scepter and your elite skill are both great at keeping enemies inside your AoEs.
    • Burst combo example:

Sustain

  • The build doesn't have a lot of ways to get rid of conditions, but there are a few:
    • is the one you'll be utilizing most often. It synergizes well with your F3, but also works with just about any source of blocks from Aegis Aegis to .
    • , the F2 skill is your source of mass cleansing. This skill removes a total of 5 conditions with the help of .
    • is a Blast finisher, which means it AoE cleanses 1 condition when used inside a symbol so always try to do that.
  • turns every trap in the build into a source of Stealth Stealth and Superspeed Superspeed, ideal for kiting and disengaging in case you are being focused by the enemy team.

The first batch of nerfs pushed it out of tournaments. The most recent nerfs removed it from higher tier ranked games as well. While it's still a free ticket out of lower ratings that could take people to low plat with very little effrot, I wouldn't really recommend it past that anymore. The build still scales insanely well with the number of clumped up targets though so at the very least it's a beast at denying rez attempts.

Really annoying build, insane aoe burns. After the healbreaker nerfs this is even stronger.

Irreplaceable aoe condi damage role that can easily be used. Most solid in teamfights, but even in 1v1 it can deal decent damage. Benefits a lot from teammates' cc (especially when running processionf of blades) and outcome of the burst can vary by a lot depending on how it lands. Edit: With the rise of various support guardian builds that can cleanse conditions relatively easy, as well as the entire meta shifting more towards condition damage, this build is losing some of its effectiveness.

A build that benefits from the broken synergy between Sword of Justice (https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sword_of_Justice) and Eternal Armory: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Eternal_Armory The Dragon Hunter variant is superior to Core Burn Guardian and Firebrand due to its strengthened virtues (aoe condi cleanse/mobility, long duration blocks + condi cleanse from traits from blocking), without the vulnerability of the Firebrand entering a tome state. The dragon hunter package also allows you to punish those not running stability/stunbreakers. Trapper Rune synergy also makes this a build that can mess with focus/targetting.

This and its power variant have been a star in 2s and 3s for awhile. In isolated team fights it’s awesome same as isolated 1v1s. Really just a great ranked build since it counters a lot and workable in team fight meta for sure. Ppl may find some builds that counter it, but it’s just solid in the right hands.

EDIT: Have to downgrade this build to 3 stars. Literally a one-trick pony in the current meta. Relies too much on Death Maw to get the burst and has no significant sustain. It's not even a meme build imho. If you want full memes, swap DH for Radiance with torch off hand and watch the world burn. But again - this won't work anywhere higher than low-mid gold. Updating to 4 stars per the addition of a stunbreak. Would still rather not pick shield of the Avenger at all. Even though it's a tempting option, the build's lack of sustain / disengage leaves little room for skill choice.

Ela consegue faz um burn muito superior ao Guardian core , devido ao sustain. Tornando-se excelente para teamfights. Apenas mudaria algumas coisas como a heal skill a signet e e algumas traits line. E runa undead faz um trabalho melhor no sustain.
