    should always be placed in the back where it is fortified. Optionally, rocket turret can be placed covering the second entrance. Rocket turret is the most damaging turret of the three but has the longest cooldown. You do not want rocket turret destroyed if you can help it.

Counters

  • Ranger - Power Survival
  • AoE cleave (your turrets are extremely vulnerable to AoE cleave - for example Eles, Warriors, power Necs and Mesmers can cause trouble).
  • Poor placement of turrets contributes to this issue. Through poor placements, enemies can just cleave through the turrets and destroy them all in one go. This will leave you defenseless and half the player.
  • Heavy condition pressure - while it's not effective against your turrets, it is effective against you as an engineer.
