Overview

A fantastic general build for open world that brings high burst damage, decent DPS, and excellent self-support in the form of boons, stunbreaks, and defense. This build is a great generalist that can hold its own in all but the most challenging content.

Pros:

  • Self-boons like crazy
  • Very high burst damage (though not as high as DH)
  • Swiss Army Knife toolkit

  • Really squishy, even with lots of protection uptime
  • Very immobile

Weapon Variants

Trait Variant Examples

Here are just a few examples of how you can mix and match traits for each situation. Radiance + Zeal is considered the Standard Variant. Be aware that any variant without Zeal will need alternative sources of Might Might.

  • Radiance + Zeal - high damage, little defense
  • Radiance + Virtues - extremely high damage if not getting hit
  • Honor + Virtues - high defense with endurance regeneration and stunbreaks
  • Virtues + Zeal - high damage with some defense; this variant deals less damage than Radiance + Zeal but isn't reliant on Resolution Resolution at all.
  • Valor + Virtues - extremely high defense with moderate damage
  • Honor + Valor - absurd defense with very little damage

Resolution & Radiance

If running Radiance, your damage becomes highly reliant on your Resolution Resolution uptime. Fortunately, you have several ways of generating this:

  • , which has a long cooldown and might kill you if used in a large group
  • if running Virtues, which grants you resolution any time you use a Virtue.

Virtue Spam

When running Radiance, and especially if running Virtue, you can spam your Virtue 1 to gain permanent resolution and quickness any time you're zerging in a large group, on top of a 10% damage modifier from . This is becaues resets its cooldown any time a mob is killed.

A very capable build in open world that can complete all but the most extreme content. Firebrand as a class is extremely versatile and is a great option for any farming you could want to do.
