Specializations

Standard Blood Magic Variant

Spite and Reaper are mandatory as they provide massive dps boosts. Blood Magic is the standard third trait line, as it increases party damage and survivability with
and
.

Variants

  • if vulnerability is lacking.
  • if teammates are going down a lot.

Curses Variant

Curses is also viable instead of Blood Magic. This is a more condition damage focused variant which provides very slightly less party DPS due to losing
, but adds very high Blind Blind and Chill Chill uptime which can be worth it if you have Holosmiths with
or Thieves with
. Curses will also provide more boss DPS on add-heavy fights as
tends to be wasted on adds.
When running the Curses variant you should take
and
in Reaper. You should also take
instead of
as its autoattack is a projectile finisher that will apply Chill Chill.

Curses Rotation (Above 50% Health)

With the Curses variant, the added damage from
makes axe never worth swapping to, so the rotation only uses greatsword and shroud. In addition, the build gains a significant amount of DPS from
, which it procs using the ice field from
combined with the whirl finisher from
.

    off cooldown.
  • Always whirl inside the boss so you hit with every whirl finisher from
    .

Below 50% Health

When the target is below 50% health, your rotation changes due to
having no cooldown. When this happens, just spam
over and over, adding
,
,
, and
(in shroud) whenever available. If running Curses variant you should also continue using
.

Notes

  • Never interrupt your autoattack chain.
  • If possible, bind a key to Stow Weapon and use it to cancel the animation of
immediately after the damage number appears. This shaves 200-300 ms off the activation time, which translates to a big DPS increase when the boss is under 50%.
  • On some bosses, you can prestack marks with a staff for slightly better burst damage when the fight begins. You can do this on Siax, Skorvald, Viirastra/Artsariiv, Mursaat Overseer, Slothasor, Samarog, Gorseval, Vale Guardian, and Keep Construct.
  • If playing Blood Magic variant, remember to tag enemies with
so you get the extra damage and healing from
    .

CC

Miscellaneous

  • Use
    or
    for boonstrip.
  • Since
has no cast time, you can weave it in during your shroud rotation for stability and damage reduction.
  • You can jump as you cast
    , then
    for a long jump.

Gold Medal - Great
Psylocker101 said this build was great 6 days ago

While it is behind in DPS comparing to other classes and builds, this build is very easy to use in almost any content in the game and not just raids. However I suggest u do run this build with friends/static group, since many people do not consider this build viable :(

Silver Medal - Good
Chinkeeyong said this build was good last month

Currently the best power DPS build for Necromancer. Although this build doesn't pull good DPS numbers, its high health pool and supportive capabilities make it a safe option for inexperienced players or Necro fans. Just be careful when joining fractal and raid groups, as not all players consider Reaper a viable DPS class.
