Basic builds are anywhere from downright bad to just shy of being good enough to showcase. These builds share the widest ratings and can lead to wildly differing levels of success.

Renegade is a dumpsterfire spec.

A fairly weak build that is totally overshadowed at present. A redeeming feature of playing Renegade is that it is easy to generate 25 might, and that will help you power through. Shortbow is an ok choice, but lacks defensive skills that are much needed.

Overall, Herald is in a better place, mainly due to its decent damage, great sustain, CC and boon share.

This build is good you will do your best if you stay in the back lines but it doesn’t mean you have to you can switch to demon stance to get a good amount of condi damage just if it’s a team fight stick with renegade and drop darkrazor’s daring on a opponent to help with a stomp and same when rezing you can drop it down and stop your team mate from getting killed

And switch out axe with sword that extra block helps you out when fighting deadeyes and when fighting the new necro elite use your sword skill five to pull them away from any fields and spam legendary demon to finish them off fast and do the same if fighting a melee class and remember you may be slow but you can kill fast and that short bow is your friend

Kalla isn't a great option I've found because Shiro provides better mobility, sustain and damage. I want Kalla to work better, but I can't crack that code.

That aside the damage is good, like really good. It has a bigger punch than Herald with the additional might and Fervor and shortbow is fairly underrated for having decent power and condi damage. With all that said, it lacks enough self sustain to merit Viper and without viper it doesn't have the damage that viper heralds have and shortbow is clunky at the time of posting.

I wouldn't call this build trash and any enemy that gets ganked by you is going down and bunkers can't 1v1 you at all. By no means merits a teammate quiting when they see the SB pop out. Until Renegade gets some QoL and/or buffs, Herald is unfortunately better.
