Maybe it never coalesced into something brilliant. Maybe it never made it off the ground floor. Maybe we based our better ideas off of it. Basic builds are anywhere from downright bad to just shy of being good enough to showcase. These builds share the widest ratings and can lead to wildly differing levels of success.

Usage

General

  • When you first engage in a fight with full endurance, fury will combine with to grant 100% critical chance.
  • Invoking a legend while below 10 energy will grant 75 energy from . Mastering this is crucial for this build to work as it is more energy dependent than Herald. A trick this build has for doing this lies in the Renegade profession skills and . Both these skills deduct energy instantly, and can thus be used to pad the threshold by using them at the same time as you legend swap. For instance, if you have 10+ energy you can quickly use heroic command and legend swap. Or if you have 20+ energy Orders from above can be used in the same way. At 30+ both can be used. This takes practice but the result is if you save both of these skills for swapping you should almost always be getting the extra energy you want.
  • The extra energy allows you to maintain almost indefinitely while using Jalis. Can be used with this skill for both AoE damage and sustain. Vengeful hammers continues to work while you are blocking or evading. This allows you to fight on point while doing AoE damage for prolonged periods of time, forcing squishier builds off.
  • Always attack from behind or the side to gain Kalla's Fervor and might from . This trait can quickly stack 25 might, and does substantial area denial in team fights at maximum stacks.
  • If you get stunned and have between 20~30 energy, you can use and legend swap at the same time. This will knock your opponents down from , grant you 75 energy, and grant alacrity. This can be used to intentionally get stunned from certain melee heavy CC builds such as Spellbreakers and Thieves to bait them into your own combo.
  • Superior Rune of Surging Superior Rune of Surging

(1): +25 Power (2): +5% Boon Duration (3): +50 Power (4): +10% Boon Duration (5): +100 Power (6): When you use an elite skill, you gain shocking aura for 5 seconds. (Cooldown: 45 seconds)
provides a For this build it is recommended to use this as a way to turn a team fight by using it with . This will grant your team damage reduction, and punish the enemy team for focusing you.
  • is a low cooldown low cost CC and is very useful against kiting players or choosing picks due to its deceptively long range. If your team calls out a target and this skill is available it's a good option.
  • can be used to secure a stomp.
  • The extra energy from allows you to use after a legend swap and still have energy left over to use with other skills. Use this to spike down unsuspecting targets. If you have lower energy and Jalis is available, this can also be done in combination with a legend swap and .
  • You can quickly disengage from a fight by switching to Shiro with then using and evading three times in a row.
  • This build has two ways to clear condition stacks. If you are using Jalis, swap to staff first before Jalis healing. If using Shiro, use first before staff heal. This is to clear movement conditions before moving on to damaging ones. legend swaps can be used for both if needed.

This build is very underrated, likely due to Reeeeeeeevenant being in such a bad spot right now. The truth is most people have no idea how scarily close jalis/shiro power ren is to being in the meta and is perfectly effective up to platinum if you know what you are doing. If arenanet ever decides to give core rev traits a bone, this could very well be a thing. I'll give it a gold rating for now, but currently this is more or less "one to watch".

I used this build before after seeing my roommate do it. It works, but really Revenant just is not viable. It's not just a Renegade problem this suffers from the same issues Herald Shiro faces. Bad condi removal, punished for minor mistakes, etc. I believe Jalis renegade has a place on metabattle just as long as it's clear that it's wicked hard mode and should not be used in serious competitive tournaments.

Final note: I strongly recommend making Paladins the main amulet. This build naturally generates 25 might 300 ferocity with 100% crit chance and alacrity very quickly which is more than enough to make people explode. You might as well take the extra toughness.

yeah gotta agree with forgotmypasswordlulz, not per se with the same words, but no this is not it. this is not a viable build infact, it's wildely known that shiro jallis renegade is the best option and even that is suboptimal. renegade is simply not ready for any sort of pvp. no matter what u try. I don't use this term often but this is litterally a silver tier build. Getting away with the high skill floor excuse is not an solid argument. a build with an high skill floor woulda proved itself eventually into seeing it in high tier players, prominent rev players bieng capable of actually playing past silver. this ''technically constitutes'' as a ''high skill floor build'' because this build simply is so terrible that u need to be an exceptionally good player to simply make it work. an high skill floor build would actually reward the player for it's time invested. but here your ''reward'' is playing a semi viable builds and bieng lucky enough to survive your encounter.

Power shiro, fresh air, dagger pistol thiefs, s/d thiefs are high skill floor classes.

nothing against the creator of this build but this isn't it.

this is one of the "hidden builds" that you occasionally see and ask "WHY ARE YOU IN MY TEAM" before going afk coz it's pointless to even try

I was testing in a duel vs power of shiro and i can say that i have more damage with this build. A excelent option for player that only have pof. I like it so i preffer this build that power of shiro the only different is i recommend axe in the second hand

This is one of those "hidden builds" that you occasionally see and ask "I just got killed by WHAT?!?". The key to understanding how this can possibly be viable lies in charged mists. That extra energy lets you pull off combos that are normally impossible. The only problem is, doing this consistently requires tremendous player skill and there are other builds out there on other classes that do the same thing for far less effort. That being said the people who have made it into platinum ranked with this crazy juju ( there are a few ) deserve mad props.

Renegade is the worst elite spec in PvP and Jalis is the worst revenant legend in PvP, or tied with Kalla. Unless a major overhaul happens everyone should forget that this spec even exists.

Lol I've seen variations of this build floating around the forums. This is by far the best incarnation and by far the best possible Renegade build for conquest. The build works, but Arenanets desire to kill Rev in PvP hurts. Good build, but not part of the meta and won't be unless the devs stop hating on this class every freaking patch.
