Usage

General

  • Focus primarily on landing immobilize immobilize on your group's spike damage or when you have a friendly .
    • can be used at range for a quick spike or shade spike
    • is a powerful but small AoE melee tool best used in heavy spikes
    • is best used in Winds and pushes by your group
    • is incredibly strong and can be used in any melee situation where you are spiking the enemy
  • Use off cooldown for high damage spikes
  • is your best defensive option. Be careful not to use the flip skill or double tap it.
  • Is a high damage gap closer with strong evade frames.
  • is your best tool for cleaving enemy downstates or landing large spikes, but locks you in place. Be sure to use it when you have good group support and are in a relatively safe position.
  • can pull multiple enemies out of position and is excellent on spikes.

RoyalPredator's vote is pointless; Immob is not a stun, therefore stunbreaks are useless. That being said, this build is cancer for a highly mobile melee-charging meta. Good damage, and very strong CC when placed down. I would argue that a strong DPS rotation is at a higher skill level if properly running melee, however damage is very good for experienced rangers. Avoid pew pew ranged when the groups push in, because your strength is laying the immob on tag with Entangle on pushes.

Axe 4 is a bit wonky to land so I avoid it under most circumstances, but the amount of immobilizes this build has adds great value to any organized group.

have run a close variant of this build for >1year. the pull+immob+axe #5 combo is crazy strong.

double axe + greatsword with raven pet for the leap is a bit more flexible as it provides decent ranged spike (axe #3) and useful ranged cleave.

Highly effective in GvGs and coordinated group play, very good CC and modestly good damage. 10/10 would run again.
