Pathing

Once you Trigger certain Mob Groups while beeing in Stealth they will follow you unless you "Path" them. This is done by standing Still until the Mobs reach you. For further information check out this:

Skipping ahead

After Stealthing with your group you can utilise a lot of skills to skip ahead of your group to Trigger Bosses/Events faster to save Time. This requires you to be able to retrait fast for full efficiency but isnt needed.

Shadow Arts should be used instead of Deadly Arts to reduce Cooldowns of Deceptions aswell as getting longer Stealth from your skills.

Personally I would go with shadow arts to keep survivability up. Other than that, great build.

A theif's ability to aoe stealth the party is un-parallelled even considering the buffs to mesmer. That being said, it isn't the top DPS choice for single target anymore. Sadly VS (venom share) doesn't help this profession's dps either, as this one still sustains better physical dps over the long term and in more various situations. If stealth isn't needed another class would be preferable. This one is still great at providing an easy trash clear with S/P but even that can be done -- albeit with more complexity -- on some other classes. Excellent flexibility for stealthing the party par none along with it's high mobility help keep it number 1 for it's role.

Poor choice of Trickery traits not taking into consideration ICD and overall damage output. Otherwise, great build.

This build remains good and performs well after the specialization update. However, with other contenders like VS outshining in dmg and survivability (with proper stat distribution), it no longer is the only build go-to for thief.
