Basic builds are anywhere from downright bad to just shy of being good enough to showcase. These builds share the widest ratings and can lead to wildly differing levels of success.

Overview

The Killshot Warrior has a strong single target ranged burst at the price of low self-sustain. It is very good at shutting down "one-shot ponies" such as LB rangers with it's Endure Pain and Killshot. Because of it's unblockable hits it is also a great contender against DPS Medi Guards. Does not fare well against conditions and is hard-countered by well-timed dodges. Previously considered a trash build, until everyone gets used to the new timing this build can do well in the current meta. It uses it's greatsword to get out of situations, catch up to or finish off low health/downed opponents.

Equipment Variants

Rune of the Pack makes up for some missing precision in the build. It has similar power and slightly less ferocity, but about a 6% increase in precision as well as higher fury/swiftness uptime (both used for dps and survivability). Here are two sub-par alternatives:

Usage

This is a roaming single-target burst role. You will start out in rifle for most engagements, building up your adrenaline. If you are being bursted, activate Endure Pain. If you notice they used their dodges and are unable to reach a safe location to block your Killshot, then use it on them.

  • Engineer's using tool kit block might be surprised to get hit with a killshot using your Signet of Might as well.

Use Balanced stance for stability if you think you'll be interrupted. It can also be used to help stomp a downed foes.

Use your awesome Greatsword mobility to get out of sticky situations and secure easy backcaps (It is possible to run around an entire point on skyhammer faster than your opponent chasing you and decap it.). The better you get with your jukes, the stronger this build becomes. It is hard to be killed and easy to reset your life thanks to Greatsword's mandatory 25% minimum speed increase.

Swap weapons frequently to build up adrenaline and a couple stacks of might. You should never really be on a point but instead skirting around it with your rifle and greatsword mobility. Attempting to juke a decap is also a role this build can play against less experienced players.

It is important to land your brutal shot. Not only does it increase your DPS, but it also increases your adrenaline gained on auto-attacks. Against a foe with vulnerability it takes ~10 seconds using just auto-attacks to get your adrenaline back to full. The trait Burst Mastery helps by recovering a third of your adrenaline for another quick burst.
