This setup is *very* out of date and really should not be run at all in raids even when learning. Even considering the idea of still running dual chrono for alacrity (no longer meta with the rise of renegade) you can run higher boon duration builds with combinations of diviner and knights gear or if toughness isn't needed, berserker gear. You get slightly lower toughness but still way more than enough to tank comfortably and you trade next to useless vitality and healing power for actual power stats. At a certain point it's better to just run an actual healer as the tank (like healing firebrand) that can still give boons and heal vs this build that really doesn't know what it wants to do. Sure you'll give boons (though with low boon duration for alacrity) and you'll survive but you're not providing meaningful healing or damage and it's much better to run any of the other tank chrono versions or a different tank instead. The choice of mantra to try and group heal and sanctuary runes are both very debatable along with the Transference sigils, food, etc. This is *not* the way you should learn to tank or even the way to build this archetype.

Since the introduction of Diviner gear, this build has fallen out of the meta. Compared to the Diviner boon support tank chronomancer, this build is far more forgiving, thanks to the vitality and toughness of Minstrel gear. However, it suffers from low concentration (which is the only reason this build uses the Chaos traitline) , and its damage is basically non-existent. While a full Minstrel build gets the job done, players should strive to improve their gameplay, and this means switching some defensive stats for more offensive ones once they become more comfortable at their job. Should they want to keep the healing (even though that is most certainly not the chronomancer's job) some Harrier or Cleric pieces could be added. The choice of runes, and of the chaos traitline, is also questionable.

The default tanking build for Chronomancer in pugs. Even if you don't go full tank (e.g. on Gorseval or Keep Construct where you're unlikely to die) it's useful to have a few Minstrel or Nomad pieces on hand, so that you can swap them in to have higher toughness if needed.
