The build lost its purpose entirely. If you're F2P, you're better off running something that makes use of sanguine armor and/or explosives with alchemy. Firearms/Explosives/Alchemy could potentially work.

Now worse than ever due to condi burst being cut by around half.

Used to be good in a meta several years ago. Now it's horrendously bad.

I would have argued that this was a solid build a year ago, but with the current meta, this is perhaps the worst condi build compared to all the professions, unless dramatic changes are made, theres no way to make this build properly workout besides as a noobstomper build.

IMO, this is currently a bad build. Your conditions last for a long time but have big cooldowns. If your opponent cleanses two or three conditions or dodge a big attack like Blowtorch, you don't have any follow up. All your attacks are very predictable, and easy to dodge. Sometimes, you won't touch your opponent because he rotates around you (without even dodging). In a Meta where people take utilities against conditions, engineer is far below other classes.

Personally, I do not find this build to be particularly good. It can be great against specific build matchups against it, but generally, players can just keep rotating specific professions/builds against it and basically neuter the benefits of this build

Good build. Personally, I use the function gyros and Rocket Boots instead of wrench kit, for extra escape and mobility, plus the extra burn stacks.

It's a great build, pro tip:before the match starts use incendiary ammo so you have it, it comes off cool down by the best time you fight somebody.

Just like how Je2ter said, this build is scary in the right hands, but requires lots of practice. If your an average player you may want to play the power hammer build, my favorite build for simply having fun.

In the right hands this build is scary. But for the average player they will want to play the power hamer build. With some practice this build will blindside people who are not ready for the large amount of condi damage and pressure. My favorite build to play when i want to have fun.

This build is very close to thief/rev gameplay. With some tweaks, it's great +1 build. At the moment, I play this build on 1780-1850 rating with many succes. Your counters are warrior and chronophantasma chrono. So, I think that this build can be used in Gold T1-> Plat T2. Overall, it is not that great in terms of survivability/sustain/team support etc. like power hammer scrapper, but it is different and your opponent don't expect condi engi. So after ~ 20 succesfull games, this build should be great.

The build definitely has killing pressure, and I find that I'm extremely potent 1v1 unless of course SIGNET NECROMANCERS. They will shut this build down entirely unless you manage to use terrain to your advantage, and you are careful with your Incendiary Ammo, preferably saving it for AFTER the Necros initial transfer. I a personally like running with a shield over the offhand pistol, and I also prefer to take Elixir H heal over the Healing Turret for more instantaneous condi clear, and more direct healing. People seem to have learned over the years and they now instant nuke the healing turret unless you pick it up rather promptly often reducing your total healing, and the cooldown on healing turret just does not justify its lack of performance in some circumstances. For example the current meta GS/Mace Zerk warr will tear up any healing turret you lay down almost instantly without even trying. As long as you stay away from Necromancers, specifically signet corruption mancers then you should have a good time But as well all know S5 is very necro heavy, so Power Scrapper might be a more viable alternative in the mean time.

When you play this burn-scrapper build , you must play this build as if you are playing dagger pistol thief, what I mean by this is that , just like a thief using a shorbow , you have to use rocket boots to move from a point to point as fast as you can and you burst down your enemy like an assassin. But the difference is that you are using your condis to assassinate your target, not your power. Stealth gyro can be used offensively or defensively. I think it is best to use Stealth gyro when you want to revive your teammates. I main thief and I think this build can replace thief's role. This build has less mobility compared to thief but this build can burst faster than thief. Always prioritize +1 fights. Jump into +1 fight and burst down your enemy as fast as you can and rush to next place using your rocket boots. If you cannot find +1 fights look for 1vs1 fights and try not to run into even number team fights.

So far as I've played with it, this build has been great; it performs well versus most enemies (the exception being signet necromancers and warriors busting out berserker stance) and has a hilarious amount of burst, often dealing 5000 or more per second if you can get all the burning stacks up. the place where it lacks is in team fights; unfortunately, while this build is great at dealing with one enemy, it;s not very good at dealing with two or more. Still, as long as you can resist engaging enemies in multi-versus-one confrontations, you should have a lot of fun with this setup. I definitely recommend it.

Quite powerful in the right hands, but it's definitely not on the same level as a power scrapper in terms of utility and consistency.

This build provides enormous condition pressure, rivaled only by necromancers. Either you are in a large brawl at the middle, or in 1-on-1 at the side points, you will always deal massive amounts of condition damage. One of the disadvantages of this build - its limited survivability, though it mostly depends on the player. If you will play smart, for example, attack your enemy from stealth, you could oneshot many people. Use flamethrower toolbelt skill then third skill on pistol and you could deal blindness, confusion and burning at once. If you are having troubles dealing with necros, you should consider swapping tool kit and supply crate for elixir c and elixir x. Elixir C removes conditions from you and elixir x toolbelt skill transforms them into a moa, which can be helpful when they are in the reaper mode. Elixir S also allows save finishing of the downed enemies Melee classes can be blinded with fifth skill on flamethrower and immobilized by fifth skill on pistol.

I tested this build lastnight with a slight variation to elixir s and elite (keeping crate for warriors), build is refreshing to play and not to toot any horns but deadly in my hands which I did not expect at first. I'm going to give this one Great for now as I have been keeping my eye on it and trying it in unranked last night was first time in ranked with it and it carried me through 5 wins! I really like the playstyle this build affords also, and those 'Zerker Warriors' that have sooooo much condi resistance well they didn't seem to be able to withstand the onslaught of nonstop condi pressure and that glue gun is a savior. I'll just Plus mad disengage ability with healing coming from swiftness your disengage heals and really becomes a tactic instead, necros seem to also have difficulty with this build/style but DH stood it's ground so no 1v1 there. Little hard to deal with a Power Hammer but the sustain allows for nice kiting. Against Chrono's seems they don't deal well getting confusion on them and clones, the FT works well with clones IMO. I'm hoping to see this move up.

Given that engineer has some of the most powerful conditions in terms of damage, this build is amazing for applying and bursting these conditions. I love the playstyle of the build, as it is a high skill cap build. High risk, high reward, which is my second favorite playstyle. One weakness, as said before, is condition pressure, but if you learned this build well, you know very well that most people can learn your combos, so you have to use stealth to engage and/or disengage. Thus, you can become a very unpredictable and decently mobile class, almost thief-like. I first saw this build as a fail because it ran two kits and Elixir S, which made me laugh because that's what most PvE people run, but once I got really into this build, I found it one of the best things I could play. It is incredibly powerful given that it's unexpected of engineers to run something other than hammer and elixir gun, and that is has a HUGE punch in that small package. The other weakness is that if your Elixir S is on cooldown, you are easily stunlocked, and will most likely be forced to use your second Elixir S, but this build can dish out some nice lockdown with the right combos and such. The damage makes it a very valuable tool, and the stealth makes it very slippery. Overall, this build is extremely powerful against most builds, and can even rival a condi revenant in damage, as well as being able to beat one if played good enough. The wanderer amulet makes it decently tanky.

Considering the fact that marauder Hoelbrak scrapper build is no longer working in condition meta, this can easily be the ONLY carry build available for Engineer. Revenant can be killed within one rotation while out of condition cleanses. This build also provides two invulnerability, stealth, and blinds that guarantee a certain level of survivability depends on how aggressive you are playing. This build gets hard-countered by druids and warriors. As long as you're not fighting 1 v 1 against these classes and keep distance/ disengage skills up, it shouldn't be a big problem........ Just pray rev is not hopping on you when you have no cooldown up.

Can definitely catch people off-guard with the burst of conditions, and stacks damage very quickly and easily. It feels more fragile than the power hammer build however, and with a slight weakness to conditions itself (smaller health pool, less elixirs), it can be a little weak in some matchups. Overall, it's effective given the right conditions (no pun intended), but not incredible, out-shined by its power hammer option. In matchups without too many Reapers and against foes with less condi cleanse however, this build will likely melt a number of opponents.

Fun build, catches people offguard more often than not and deals insane damage if the burns stack up. Gets completely shat on by condi necros though, which is a really common build right now.

I can't say if this build is really that good because right now, game are weird due to the fact we can't play in ranked, but for the moment it's working pretty well for me. Let's see in 1 month (Zzzz ....) if my mind change :)

It works well if your target lets you stack up your burning but the effectiveness drops like three times if they cleanse the condition before you can stack it. Otherwise at times you can get 4-5k burning

a fun build to play in unranked but way too easy to point yourself out and be bursted down plus with so much condi cleanse nowadays there is no real duration with burns on the enemy

This build is really good for soloQ as the damage from burns can be destructive however the issue is that if the burn is removed aka d/d ele or a bunker guard then it's big advantage is negated and is relitivly weak and squisy

Love this build, popping the FT toolbelt skill in addition to pistol 4 and firearms rank 3 typically puts 10-13 stacks of fire up on folks plus a slew of other conditions. Anyone who can clear is finished in seconds. Pistol 5 is underrated and really works well when used to secure a close up P4 skill and tool 3 pry bar. Decent survive illy with tools, FT 5 for blind and Elixir for escapes or stomps. I have a hard time against guardians who are good with a managing condition clearing and the obvious elementalist who just laugh as conditions. Of course they laugh at all damage seeing how they can just sustain though it all. Thus build to me provides me with the best results out of the current metas for engineer. Just my two cents. An unique builds that provides high burning damage and high surviveability. A great alternative to the classic condition engineer.
