Update: Oct 13 2020 patch. This build has been performing not so well for a while, but with the ridiculous nerf to symbols, there is no more reason to play Sagebrand / Mender brand . any other Guardian brand that used to rely on symbols. 90% of guardian builds are F tier now. No longer viable. Update Oct 1 patch - Sagebrand simply performs better in the current meta so downgrading power symbolbrand 1to 4 stars. Also, absolutely don't agree with the new choice of Stoic Demeanour over Loremaster. I understand the synergy you are going for here with a slow proc from disable and Binding Jeopardy. But taking Binding Jeopardy is also questionable since the Zeal trait line gives you tons of vulnerability already. Update: This build got even better after the July 16 patch. Zeal is now a much better and reliable trait-line for sustained pressure. Old Comment: This is the best FB build for Solo queue. For duo and tournament bunker is the best. Some utility slots can be changed according to personal preference or the enemy comp. However, you should absolutely take Archivist of Whispers. If you decide to not take Legendary Lore, then Weighty Terms is a much better choice than Stalwart Speed. Contrary to some comments, this build dishes out quite decent damage AND healing. You will end up with top healing stats 90% of match ups.

A very strong teamfighter, being one of the few sources of group stability in todays meta. Very good teamfight attrition. In my opinion this gets overshadowed by its condi variant for solo queue rankeds but it is far stronger in coordinated gameplay. Provides the ability to deal good damage with symbols while kiting to stay alive, which is a big advantage in comparison to sagebrand, which usually requires to go more aggressive to maximize burn stacks. Being frequently one of the main target, this builds ability to deal damage while playing defensive is one of the things that makes it shine in tournaments. Mantra of Truth and Save Yourselves is no longer optimal though and running Mantra of Lore to survive conditions and Stand Your Ground for group stability creates a setup that is, in my opinion, stronger in most scenarios. Also, Scepter adds a lot more damage to the build and should be main pick, though sword is viable.

Incredible strong build. It has everything u need. Not so hard to learn like can seems so. In teamfight do rly heavy dmg amd suport team in same time. During duels it has every skills u need to kill/survive/hold node. SW 2 perfect skill to pursuit/teleport instantly, many cc skills (it has pushing pulling taunting) , many control field skills, enough healing and condi cleanse skills... This is what i call Guardian. First of all u need to learn how to deal with being a target and how to kite ppl (u have +25% to movement speed so its also fun).

Naru has been rocking this build recently. It looks very strong and it's very fun to watch. Based on what I've seen, I'm super surprised it isn't in the meta section.

This build is a blast! It has sustain, it has a decent amount of damage, it can be really helpful in teamfights or be sort of a roamer... just incredibly fun! Feels great playing it.

Great build for solo q. Brings sustained damage, ground control and performs greatly at 1v1 while still having tome skills available for TFs if needed

A fun build with a few tweaks of my own but other than that it's a really good build

I dont see the point.. Jack of all trades master of none. Lacks the damage to beat damage oriented builds and lacks the healing or utility to be truly supportive. I'd take core or bunker over this all day long.

Solid build, though I still prefer to run it with 5 mantras and a couple different traits :)

A ranked carry machine because of the combination of damage/sustain/support, even some CC. Very flexible build.
