A very powerful open world build which offers high AoE damage and excellent sustain.

It is a really funny build, with a very good damage. You just have to dodge attacks. And the herald provides you a kit of habilitys really useful, with many buffs.

If you're like me and can easily dodge and mitigate damage, consider doing Glint/Shiro as main because it's a really good build for high damage and quick kills. I also recommend Sw/Sw more than Hammer due to the fast damage you can produce and now with the latest patch, Chilling Isolation is a better AoE than Precision Strikes ever was, along with no longer being projectiles, thus being able to be used against targets with projectile reflection (looking at you Temvay and Lenner). You can start out with high output, but it does gradually settle, but with a friend by your side providing buffs, you can sustain really good damage, even in fractals/dungeons. You won't be hitting Weaver/Dragonhunter numbers, but low 20k's is very respectable. Switch from Shiro to Jalis if you need that extra defense and CC. Useful for HoT HP bosses and others with stubborn defiance bars. Use Hammer only for quick dispatch of trash mobs that can do with an AoE, otherwise, stick with Sw/Sw and Staff. Be careful with Surge of the Mists, however, as the new patch added a windup which can make accurately CCing targets a bit more difficult if they suddenly move out of the way during that wind up. I blame Anet, not the build. If you do need healing, Facet of Light and either Enchanted Daggers/Soothing Stone will do you well, even without using Battle Scars, which don't seem to heal that much anyway. I'd stick to pure heal skills, but if you combine them, it does help, just

I mostly use Dwarf stance rather than Shiro. If you're looking for something tough as nails and relatively easy to play, and not a necro, this is a great choice. Excellent sustain, good damage.

You should use Dwarf stance for open world instead of Assassin when using this build. Vengeful Hammers provides more damage, more AOE and more healing than running Assassin with Facet of Nature and Impossible Odds enabled. You also don't need to use Facet of Nature at all when using Dwarf. That frees up lots of energy so you can use a lot more weapon skills without dropping your upkeep skill... which lets you do more damage, apply more chills, more boons and is less micro management. Against a dummy, Assassin will come out on top in terms of DPS but in practice, real gameplay, Dwarf just always seems like the better option for both DPS and self healing.

This is an extremely self-sufficient build with good damage and insane self-healing. The boons of Glint and mobility of Shiro make it versatile enough to handle nearly anything.

Although this build is good, I'd much rather prefer to switch out dwarf stance for assassin stance. Assassin's stance provides a series of extra escapes via riposting shadows and provides a great aoe stun via Jade winds. The extra mobility and utility you get with assassin's stance can greatly be a deciding factor if you plan on soloing dungeons/fractals or taking on champ mobs by yourself through evasion.

By far the best choice for Revenant in open world. Herald provides access to very useful boons while Jalis provides very good sustain when needed and decent utility when needed.
