I use greatsword in place of staff. The gs#4 aoe pulsing blind enables superior survivability in group fights which you really need as necro since you will likely always get focused as the enemy knows you do not have any blocks/evades/invulnerabilities. Gs#5 is great for preventing escapes or pulling people off point enabling capture for your team mates, and it overall has the best lifeforece generation if you need to build it back up for shroud and the #1,2,3 all have really high damage especially since the recent patches increased it.

I normally hate playing power builds, especially when condi is still so strong, but I had to try this. I switched from procmancer to this build and I am very pleased. The only change I made (and this is a personal preference) is to use focus in my offhand instead of warhorn. I like the extra boon strip & chill, plus the regen/heal. It just makes good sense for me. Other than that, kept everything the same. Good stuff.

Awesome build. Its boon corruption can easily help take down classes such as guardians, warriors and revenants. And it's much more survivable which helps when being focused. I'ts also a viable 1v1 build and is a decent build for holding and capping points on your own. The Power wellomancer was nice for a time but this is much better.

The unholy feast buff made axe (and by extension) power reaper more viable. Solid damage with a decent amount of boon hate and okay sustain. Can easily confuse foes used to the popular condi reaper that's been running for the past few seasons. Paladin amulet can almost make this equal to the old Soldier's build in tankiness.

Amazing build for many reasons 1: Boon corruption. Is this meta of many boons being applied all around by guardians/mesmers/eles/revs you have very easy and amazing access to corrupting boons. Stab corruption is key to this build and works amazing to catch people off guard 2: infinite chill. This build features easy access to chills and possibly infinite chill. It is also multi target chill so its easy to get off. 3: Destroy stomping opportunities with mass boon corrupt 4: Easy to survive being focused with chill and corruption and elite skill. Better than proc mancer because you live far longer. Overall an amazing build. I'm predicting this to rise to the top of the meta this month.
