Overview

A healing Scrapper build for raids, this build brings extremely high healing and strong defensive utility, including a ranged resurrect with .

This build is capable of providing permanent uptimes of Protection Protection and Might Might. It can also generate 100% Quickness Quickness uptime to its subgroup, though doing so requires using skills that provide blast and leap finishers off cooldown, reducing your ability to use those abilities reactively. Swiftness Swiftness is provided by (elixir gun) and blasting your lightning fields, and it also offers permanent Superspeed Superspeed, which is quite valuable on encounters with high movement, and also to DPS Scrappers.

Utility

Weapon Variants

  • It is worth having Mace/Shield on the second weapon set as it has a few benefits despite the lower healing:
    • Skills 3-5 provide more CC than Short Bow can offer, as well as having a knockback.
    • is a projectile reflect.
    • is very useful if tanking.
  • For players that do not own Secrets of the Obscure, offhand Shield is too important to drop, and the only core mainhand weapon Scrapper has is Pistol.

Skill Variants

Utility

Any of the utility skills can be swapped out if needed, just be aware of what you're losing:

  • gives extra Might Might as well as a blast finisher.

  • - provides a block, useful if tanking.
  • - more CC.
  • If you take you are able to provide an additional boon to your subgroup:

    • - pulses Fury Fury.
    • - pulses Might Might to your subgroup if traited.

Utility

Usage

Quickness

Use , , , and the weapon skills listed below in combo fields for Quickness Quickness. You have a decent amount of overcap, so you can afford to delay or skip these skills if necessary.

  • in particular is dangerous as it launches you backwards. This can be prevented by quickly weapon swapping mid-air.
  • and provide their own combo fields.
  • If you have any doubt about whether there is a combo field down, all skills except provide them.

Short Bow

Short Bow also comes with two combo fields:

Mace/Shield

    • will make you leap forward and cannot be cancelled, so keep that in mind before using it.
  • ,

Healing

  • is your bread and butter. Spam to keep people topped off, using , , and for burst healing.
    • Being in increases the healing effectiveness of all your skills, not just your skills.
  • (Short Bow), (in ) and (in ) are additional healing skills you can use.
  • Use and off cooldown to keep up regeneration.
  • If using , any successful blast finisher will heal.
  • This build has many blast finishers, including , , , and . Blast the water field from or for ~2000 instant healing per blast. Blast or to cleanse conditions.
  • Use , , or for condition cleanse. For more condition-heavy fights you can consider bringing and .

Mitigation

  • pulses barrier over a few seconds, making it especially effective if you know a large amount of damage is incoming.
  • also provides barrier.
  • on Short Bow and your Shield skills grant Protection Protection, as do and your . This is easily sufficient to maintain Protection Protection.
  • If Stability Stability is needed, use . If more is required, allows your to provide Stability Stability as well.
  • You can use to destroy projectiles. If you have your turrets will also spawn with reflective shields, but be careful of accidentally reflecting shards on Cairn or Matthias.

Miscellaneous

  • If people are going down, you can revive them from range with or . You can combine this with your normal revive to pick people up quickly.

A great healer, but struggles to bring the range of boons that other quickness healers offer. Nice if you want superspeed, but otherwise you're likely to do better with a healbrand.

With recent changes to Scrapper's ability to provide boons to a group, this build is a viable (and in some cases preferable) alternative to a Firebrand, only lacking in certain areas such as might/fury output and other raw boon outputs provided by Firebrand.

An extremely solid healer for training groups or groups looking for a safer clear, with ridiculous sustained healing and condition cleanse. It offers heavy defensive utility like Firebrand as well as fast rezzes like Scourge. Perhaps the best reason to bring it is Bulwark Gyro, which offers damage reduction in high-pressure fights.
