my very first open world farming build ever used, and loved it to this day. Immensely satisfying to see numbers crit left and right on your screen However, there are a few thing i wanted to point out here: - I highly suggest replacing fire signet w/ either arcane shot/wave if dmg is what you're looking for. The increase in precision is nice, but it just isn't worth a utility slot. Arcane shot/wave can blast into a lot of the combo fields or extra utility and survival (ie your staff water field for burst heal) on top of decent dmg. increased dmg wont matter too much in open world since many other players will be able to share that burden. - Replace arcane shield w/ twist of fate. Sure the shield explosion may be decent since it's guaranteed crit, but in the end it's just a glorified version of fire skill 1 when it comes to the dmg department. Both TOF and arc shield have a 40 second cd on default, but even w/ arc shield's cd reduction from the arcane trait, TOF is much more worth it since it holds 2 charges, can break stun, has an evade duration the same as your normal dodge, and superspeeds u in the process. Compared to Arc shield that can only break stun and block 3 attacks, which gets ripped apart by enemies in HOT, TOF basically alows u to have 2 additional dodges. - w/ the nerfs to lightning hammer dmg, its better to just use glyph of storm instead. U can cast it much more frequently for as little as 25 sec if its firestorm.

I have been playing for 6 years and I have survived with my staff where others have fallen on the battle field. Requires great focus and concentration. Still, dagger/dagger is also one of my favourites.

For those who like to play open world on hard mode, Staff Weaver is very strong in the right hands, but has a high skill floor which takes practice to master.
