Ode Tempest Melee Courage Build
- Great Buffs
- Amazing Single Target Damage
- Great Defense
- Low Mobility
- Expensive to Build
- Kind of Boring to Play
Overview
As the Ode Tempest pact offers some
Courage just by picking the pact itself, it makes sense to also lean into it as a DPS. This allows you to use a great deal of different
Courage based weapons. The
Ode Tempest also offers great defensive options with
Atmos Sphere shielding both yourself and allies while
Astra Sphere is a fantastic damage boosting skill.
Virtues

Focus on getting as much Courage as possible in order to boost your damage. You can also spend some points into
Spirit if you are looking to test out
Spirit weapons.
Skills

Seismor – The damage of this skill also scales up with
Courage, making it deal good damage when using a high
Courage build. Use this to move mobs around and push them away if needed but make sure not to throw them out of friendly AOE abilities.
Astra Sphere – A fantastic support skill to boost to boost the damage of your regular weapon attacks against enemies close to the
Astra Sphere. Try to always fight enemies close to the
Astra Sphere!
Atmos Sphere – A powerful defensive ability. Use it to protect yourself and allies with a shield, allowing everyone to take extra hits until the
Atmos Sphere fades. This doesn't restrict your movement whatsoever.
Ode Tempest Upgrades
Mora's Pride is a very strong node because it raises your
Courage.
Akin is also important since it reduces your cooldowns, letting you keep
Astra Sphere and
Atmos Sphere active for longer.
Lightning Strike is another great node, giving a big damage boost against downed enemies.
Equipment

Joineries
Always go for a "Blessed by Mora" Joinery if you find one as this increases your damage and maintains Courage as your attunement on the weapon. If you don’t have that, skip reforging unless you at least have a Polished Joinery which is normally an alright option that doesn't mess with your weapon attunement. Keep in mind that adding a Joinery to a weapon resets it back to level 1, so you’ll have to level it up again afterward.
