Note: Please note that builds will default to plain icons, these may not be as accurate. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Maybe it never coalesced into something brilliant. Maybe it never made it off the ground floor. Maybe we based our better ideas off of it. Basic builds are anywhere from downright bad to just shy of being good enough to showcase. These builds share the widest ratings and can lead to wildly differing levels of success.

Weapon Variants

  • If you need to cleave enemies often, you can run Sword instead of Dagger.
  • You can carry a Shortbow for tagging mobs in open world farming.

Trickery Variant

Trickery is also viable instead of Deadly Arts. This is better in short fights where you can reset 24px Deadeye's Mark often and don't get as much value out of Executioner.png Executioner. However it falls short against bosses.

This build uses similar gear to the Deadeye - Power DPS Rifle build for fractals and raids. The only difference is that the sigil setup is slightly different. If you don't want to carry around 2 rifles you can just use your existing DPS gear.

  • Stealth is one of the most useful tools available to Thieves, and especially Deadeyes. Chain your stealth skills to sneak past enemies or run away from fights.
  • For longer durations of stealth, like for channeling hero points, you can equip Shadow Refuge.png Shadow Refuge.
  • If Shadow Refuge.png Shadow Refuge is not enough, you can blast stealth. To do this, equip a shortbow, place a Smoke Screen.png Smoke Screen, then spam Cluster Bomb.png Cluster Bomb in the smoke field.

I've had a lot of fun with this build doing the map meta events in Verdant brink. It's very effective at rapidly dropping targets in succession and doesn't require great gear to be able to do so. Best deployed when other players are running around drawing attention.

This is the build to play if you want to use a rifle. Like its pistol cousin, it deals great damage from long range. However, it has trouble dealing with multiple targets, or enemies that can quickly close the gap.
