Overview

A Dragonhunter burn build for pvp, focused around proccing aoe burns with Justice as often as possible, while continuing to provide expected Dragonhunter longbow white damage and trap support. Because of Permeating Wrath, this build becomes more effective when striking multiple foes.

  • Use Shield of Courage Shield of Courage aggressively, especially when moving into melee. The more you force enemies to attack you when your shield is up, the more burning you can dish out. This is very effective on minions and illusions. is an acceptable variant for this reason.
  • Retreat back to range with Wings of Resolve Wings of Resolve. You are not particularly tanky in this build, and since Wings is not traited to remove conditions, it's best used as a preemptive disengage so you can lose some aggro and unload from range again.

    active is useful for finishing certain 1v1s, since it is sometimes hard to proc Justice reliably when only fighting one enemy. Otherwise, you will always prefer the passive. Luckily, ensures it's never on cooldown for very long.

    has proc'd recently or Shield of Courage Shield of Courage is up, it can be risky to secure stomps. In team fights, you are better suited to making any downed enemies into burning death zones for anyone attempting to res.

Had potential with Mercenary, but Sage is just really bad. Sigils should be Geo/Doom. The Virtues spec is supposed to give you more sustain, you can't afford to take all the offensive traits for PvP. Trap heal > shelter. Longbow in a condi build is a weird choice too.

Hardcountered by pretty much anything that can cleanse any amount of conditions frequently or has resistance. The days of condi guards are long gone and it's not coming back anytime soon.
