Overview

This build takes the support traits of the general Guardian - Altruistic Healing Bunker and tweaks them to provide the ability to pressure enemies off a point by the choice of weapons and high crit rate. It is used as a Bruiser and Supporter and could be transitioned to when another bunker is going to be on your team.

Usage

The role of a pressure guardian comes from the capability to deal enough damage to force enemy high damage classes off point, while maintaining a strong tank and teamsupport. This build comes in handy, when you have a non-guardian bunker on your team and need a reliable damage source and safer resses and stomps. Considering the fact that only one fully bunkertoon is needed on your team, the pressure guard can be used in the role of the supporter and bruiser.

    give you a constant critchance of 40% which you should use to fulfill your main role: pressure enemy squishies off point. Therefore your main job is to stay where the fights are. Don't be too eager on taking 1v1s, since you are not a full bunker (especially through the lack of blocks) and therefore will not last as long while you are alone. You are still able to hold off a single enemy for some time, until help arrives.

  • Even though the top points apply for the pressure guard the same way as they do for the bunker, you will use your cooldowns a little more often to defend yourself, since your overall survivability will be lower than for a bunker.

    can help you move quicker through terrain, but receiving speedbuffs from allies can strongly enhance your rotations, since you got no access to speedbuffs.
  • If your team doesn't want/need the control a hammer offers, don't be afraid to switch it for whatever fits, since this build relies heavily on the position you need to take. Taking a staff over the hammer (or even the greatsword) pushes you a lot closer towards a bunker role, but hampers your damage. Considering the very low capability for chasing a guardian offers, it is possible to take Scepter/Sword and Focus and therefore making you work stronger against single targets. But since you shine in fights 2v2 or bigger it is questionable whether you shouldn't better swap to builds like Guardian - Meditation DPS or alike if your team needs the burst it offers.
