Usage

Meditation Guard is a true double-edged sword, a prime example of risk/reward gameplay because most of your (otherwise defensive) abilities can be powerful additions to your burst damage - thus leaving you significantly vulnerable later.

Setting up your burst/devastating opening attack:

    which deals increased damage if you have a condition - this attack chain, especially if Shield of Wrath explodes, can be a dps bomb, forcing many enemies to disengage if used in a teamfight especially when they are trying to stomp or res and are balled up - but with this, you've already used up 2 of your Meditations - if you had max hp before/during the attack chain, you wasted 4k healing and a condition removal, not to mention your teleport which was a stunbreaker.

    is one of the best skills to prevent a downed enemy from rallying - even if someone is ressing him while having Stability thus being immune to your CC, you can go around it by Banishing the downed instead, knocking him away from his ally, not to mention any fall damage will kill the downed, making it even more effective at maps like Battle of Khylo, Spirit Watch or Skyhammer.
  • You have access to AoE Stability Stability with the trait

- this lets you make shortcuts, for instance teleporting up to the midpoint on Battle of Kyhlo from outside of the building - not to mention the entirely unexpected burst.
