Maybe it never coalesced into something brilliant. Maybe it never made it off the ground floor. Maybe we based our better ideas off of it. Basic builds are anywhere from downright bad to just shy of being good enough to showcase. These builds share the widest ratings and can lead to wildly differing levels of success.

Overview

Pros!
  1. More HP
  2. More speed
  3. Higher boon duration
  4. Lots of applied protection, regeneration, and swiftness
  5. High poison/blind removal
  6. “Guard” (12s cooldown) applies 16s regeneration and 13s swiftness with 360 AoE radius

Pet gets lots of stealth and protection uptime (potentially perma protection due to boon sharing)

  1. Tankier pet (via shared boons)
  2. Constant boons give pets 5% more damage
  3. Less reliant on Signet of Renewal and Signet of the Wild
  4. Huge group utility
Mehs!
  1. BTR actively applies boons, RRR passively applies them
  2. You will need to use F3 a lot more
  3. More emphasis on boons and less on pets
Not pros!
  1. Less healing power than a BM build
  2. No more 133 hp/3s (or 180hp/3s if traited) passive regen from Natural Healing
  3. Pet does about 5.1% less damage on average and has 2000 less health
  4. Recharge for swapping pets is 20s instead of 15s
  5. Runes of the Forge can only be gained from dungeon
  6. Spamming a placement AoE (“Guard”) is annoying
