Reaper - Settler MM
Ratings
Basically what Hanz said, but I'll repeat one major flaw of the build he pointed out.
No Soul Reaping....
Just want to pop in and say this build worked incredible. Was looking for an easy build for my wife to play, and this worked great. Amazing how quick I could burst someone down with condies in settler ammy too! Great survival. Only downsides I noticed, vulnerable to heavy CC and condi damage. This build comes with no stunbreakers and limited condi transfer. Tried the trait from Death Magic, it was meh for dealing with condi in this build. Found that simply swapping warhorn for dagger against condi heavy teams worked great. Overall, absolutely love this build.
I'll start with the good:
* Rise and minion bombing is a fun concept, fan of it since GW1.
* Can do some support with Blood Magic.
The bad:
* No stunbreakers. Come out of RS, eat a stunlock and respawn. Repeat.
* No Soul Reaping -> abysmal LF management
* Only 1 active condi cleanse
* Healing skill is rather "meh"
* Stacking sigil
* Reaper Shroud hits like a wet noodle (aside from skill#4)
* Condi build motto of 2015: "Burning or gtfo" - and it doesn't have burning
TL;DR A teamfight build that can't deal with being focused at all and doesn't have enough pressure to make up for it.
This build carries team fights while keeping condition pressure on enemy teams. It sacrifices the mobility of a d/d ele (no teleport, smaller leap) for stronger on-point defense and support. The ability to res downed teammates while simultaneously keeping poison pressure on downed enemies makes this a no-brainier in a team fight situation.
This build feels unique and different than to the Soldier MM build. In comparison, the Soldier MM build feels a lot like a master of loyal minions that fight for you. While this one is about MM Bombing. It feels reminiscent to the MM Bombers from GW1 and their Death Nova. Now that shambling Horror has a duration, I can see tons of poison fields stacking on the enemy. The condi damage also makes that hurt a lot. I didn't give this build a great rating because it felt awkward compared to playing with the Chill reaper and regular MM. Still, I felt effective nonetheless.
