Equipment

Ascended gear and stat infusions are not required; you can use exotic gear with the same stats.

Standard Equipment

The Standard Variant uses similar gear to the Holosmith - Power DPS build for fractals and raids. This makes it a good general-purpose gear set and is the gear that most players should aim for.

Usage

Boon Management

  • 41% boon duration can be reached without a single point of concentration invested in equipment, if equipped with 6x
    and
    and traited with
    .
  • Use
off cooldown. You should also use
off cooldown unless you seriously need the stun break. Use elixir skills (traited with
) on the tool belt to keep the Might Might stack above 10 in order to trigger
off cooldown, so that Quickness Quickness will be maintained.

Damage

  • If specialized in Tools:
can be easily maintained, thanks to
    and
, with elixirs and skills on the tool belt.
  • Camp in hammer and use all your skills for damage. The only skill that isn't a DPS increase is
    .
    • Never interrupt your autoattack chain; it not only boosts damage, but also provides additional Might Might stacks, which contribute to
      .
  • and
    for AoE damage.
  • Swap to
    every 12 seconds to use
. You can immediately cancel the self-knockback by stowing the kit.
    • You can keep track of the cooldown by looking at
, which has the same cooldown as
      (traited with
      ).
  • If you can't get close to your target, you have a decent ranged autoattack in
    .

Crowd Control

  • stuns your target on the first strike. It also provides a lightening field, which, in combination with the leap finisher via
    , dazes your target.
  • - heavy crowd control on a short cooldown.

Defense

  • evades attacks.
    blocks them.
  • (in
) can be used to blind enemies.
  • Remember to always dodge and sidestep attacks if possible. Don't get hit by anything you can move out of.

Sustain

Healing
  • in the
provides a water field, which can be combo-blasted with
    on tool belt,
    or
    via
    for additional healing.
  • You can pick
up for a cooldown reduction, or detonate it to blast the water field for more healing. Refer to the previous point for other available blast finishers.
    • Never leave your Healing Turret out: the healing you get from the passive regeneration is worse than if you pick it up and put it down again.
Damage Reduction
  • provides great personal and group sustenance with just one click.
Condition Removal
  • via
provides access to light field, which can be combo-blasted for AoE cleansing.
  • allows you to cleanse conditions on your allies (though not on yourself) with
. It also provides a light field with

I think this build is perfectly fine for open world. Has great burst and might generation is really good if you use Bulwark Gyro (for the Defense Field, because it gives Stability and every second you have stability, you gain might and Blast Gyro which gives out 2 stacks of might per pulse and there's 4 pulses.). This build can have great personal survivability and great utility. Of course it's not as good as Holosmith or as useful as a Support Scrapper, but it can really be nice damage. I think Power Scrapper deserves more love. Just change some things in this build and you may not regret it!

A very good solo build and quite bursty, but is a bit lacking in damage.

This build has good sustained damage and survivability and is probably the best Scrapper build you can play in open world.
