Kiting - Temple of the Silent Storm

Introduction

This guide illustrates some kiting spots for a PvP map, Legacy of the Foefire, via short animations. A kiting spot is defined (in this guide) as a spot you can get to with certain skills or skillful movement skills which is safe from enemy fire. Kiting spots are divided primarily by the point they're closest to and further by movement skill requirements:

  • Standard (Running, Jumping, and Dodge Jump; Sometimes you may need to perform a Dodge Jump or have Swiftness with no movement-impeding conditions for a jump to work.)
  • Shadowstep (Consider all kiting spot for Shadowsteps to also work for Teleports unless otherwise indicated.)
  • Teleport
  • Leap (Some leaps go farther than others and are affected by movement boons/conditions; This guide will use leaps that make you jump and go farther than 550 units.)
  • Phase Retreat (Remember, you must not target enemy players while using these spots because that messes up the direction of the teleport.)

N.B. It is recommended to stop the Gfy once you're done with it via the on-screen button or "Right Click > Stop". The more you open and try to play at once, the more CPU/Memory will be used and it could lead to crashing your browser! If you wish to close all the Gfys simply reload the page.
