Overview[edit]

The goal of this build is to provide high Quickness and Alacrity up-time to your subgroup, increasing overall group damage. Additionally, some variants (including the main one) allow the Chronomancer to protect their subgroup by sharing distortion.

  • Since you have
    , in order to provide permanent alacrity, you only need to keep up around 1.3 Illusionary Avengers on average. Because of this, you can occasionally skip getting your second shield block, and keep up 1 Illusonary Avenger and 2 Illusionary Swordsmen/Wardens for a short while. In addition to having more damage because of the extra damage phantasm, this also synergizes with Phantasmal Force, since you won't overwrite one of your damage phantasm and so it will have the buff a bit longer.

Other builds[edit]

These builds drop the inspiration traitline, losing the extra share from

and the ability to share distortion. This makes it harder to keep up quickness, especially if people miss one of your wells. However, you will do significantly more personal damage.

In general, you will only have around 3 seconds of quickness left when your continuum split is off cooldown again, leaving very little room to delay any share at all. Because of this, these builds are only worth using on encounters where you are sure you won't have to delay anything, and your subgroup doesn't miss any shares. This will depend on both the skill of your group and the tactic being used.

The best build to run here is Domination/Inspiration, since it allows you to distort the green circle for your subgroup. If both chronomancers do this, you can bypass the entire mechanic and nobody will have to go to green circles. If you decide not to ignore the green circles, the more frequent quickness sharing that Domination/Inspiration gives you will assure that their quickness up-time does not suffer.
