Overview[edit]

The Static Discharge Engineer brings high single target and burst damage, good AoE long ranged damage, and anti-stealth.

  • In smaller fights, use Rifle and Toolbelt skills to keep constant pressure on your target at range, then get close and CC and burst them down.

  • You can take out Svanir/Chieftain very quickly if you have your cooldowns up. Open with either from stealth or with immobilize from Glue Shot, lay down Napalm, Blowtorch, Throw Wrench, Pry Bar, Poison Dart Volley, Box of Nails, and then either autoattack in flamethrower or block until dead. Remember to blind the initial CC, either with Smoke Vent or Static Shot. Use Incendiary Ammo if a faster kill is necessary. Remember not to go for beasts when you do not know the where all of the enemy team is at, or when your team does not have secure point income, unless your team is at 450+ points and you absolutely need them for the win. Beasts are not substitutes for capture points.
  • Similarly, you can kill the Lord on Foefire quickly with the same skills. If speed is not absolutely necessary, LoS the lord and his defenders into the corner beside the stairs immediately after aggroing. Use supply crate when they reach you, or if it isn't up use blinds or your tool kit block to prevent the initial CCs. Remember that the Swirling Winds the mages put up will reflect projectiles, including your Napalm, which you need to land for a quick kill.

Notes[edit]

  • Mines from Bunker Down can reveal you if walked over by an enemy.
  • The Smoke Bomb from Autodefense Bomb Despenser is currently not a smoke field. This is probably a bug. When/if it gets fixed, you will be able to Throw Wrench through it for an additional blind, or blast it with Flame Blast or a turret detonate for stealth.
  • Automated Medical Response may be worth taking over ABD when/if it is fixed to correctly recharge Cleansing Burst as well as Healing Turret, but until then it is detrimental to take with Healing Turret.
