Ratings
Rifle/Hammer Mech is the best Mid Tier spec in the game. One build can run all PVE content in the game. I run High Impact Drivers, throw mine, and the dragon trinket set up for my build. You can run thief relic for both hammer and rifle to save build tab space. For food, go cheap and get Avocado Smoothie and Tin Fruit Cake. If you can master smashing you forehead on 1-5 (save weapon 4 on hammer for blocks), throw mine off cooldown (normally), F1-F3 auto, and know where to stand; you will always be close if not top dps in all PVE content. The ease of this build can make you a better player because you can master it quickly then focus on learning mechanics. Blink (Shift Signet) will be your friend for fractal skips, greeding one shot mechanics, or resetting for a burst. Have fun kiting mechanics while all the melee spread out from aoes. As of Nov 28, 2023 Rifle 5 now has evade for 1/2 sec after activation. Now you can dodge one hit boss mechanics while doing damage. Awesome buff to Rifle. Rifle 3 also does more damage (more than double) at the cost of a 1/4 sec longer cast time which makes it the same as 2 and 4.
While the mech provides effectively permanent DPS uptime, and it is almost fully ranged, other classes have been buffed so much in comparison that most players will perform better on other builds.
Very good easybto learn build that doesnt kill your hands to play
Very Good build for PvE. A good DPS, and the Mech is very Tanky.
It's very good for people who begin HL
