I was inclined to give it a pass, as something that can carry anyone to at least plat with minimal effort. The patch wasn't kind to this though.

Pistol Pistol has always been seen as that troll build to play and you definitely can as it seems deadeye was made for gun builds. It just that this build only focuses on doing 1 thing - unload spam. If it stays with op damage maybe it should stay but as soon as that burst leaves so does all the meta potential

A reasonably solid build with exceptional firepower on single targets! Excellent if for +1ing in a fight. Very easy to play. However, this build leaves you quite fragile, even as a Thief you'll be lacking the mass evades that often keep them alive in close range. So if you get jumped or focused your only real option is to flee. Especially as dipping below a certain threshold of HP guts several traits if you go Critical Arts. This makes ambushing a fight necessary, P/P cannot straight up brawl let alone 1v1 unless you catch a target with their pants down. You also lack much of the speed and nimbleness that thieves are known for, with Shadowstep being your only real form of mobility it's tricky to be -the- Thief on your team without innate swiftness or similar to rush you to points to decap repeatedly and then escape. You're better off joining teammates who can take the brunt and help bait out dodges and defensive skills before you start spamming 3. Few other builds can produce as much ST damage so easily and quickly. But it can become very predictable, requires a fairly short range and an 'all in' build. Bait out dodges and defensives before you spam 3. Keep targets within your range. Don't try to fight solo. Be prepared for complaints about not decapping as much as a thief should do. Swap Mercy for Shadow Gust for knockback and stealth. P/P can delete targets in a fight, but only if every shot hits. So make sure they do!

I need to correct my rating to silver. The build is cheesy but workable and deserves more than a zero rating. Still, I'd like to see some stealth options in the build to have some better retreat potential and also make use of malice stacks. So, blinding powder, the DE elite skill or shadow gust should be mentioned as an option. Also, ankle shots in critical srikes should be mentioned as an option, as it brings more kite potential to the table.
