Celestial and Firebrand are like stupidity and Braham, they are made for each other! All jokes aside, this build is supremely good for practically all open world content. I run Celestial on my main since the day of the patch that buffed Celestial and couldn't be happier. Compared to the Trailblazers (Solo Firebrand/Condi Firebrand) counterpart it gives in on toughness, but gives a huge amount of other useful attributes in return. Your healing actually heals and your boons actually stay up somewhat decently, all while still dealing ~20k dps on large enemies in open world. The sustain you can have is truly impressive. With a greatsword (compared to scepter) your burst capabilities aren't that bad either, which is nice to kill weaker groups of mobs a bit faster. And the leap also is a nice addition to the otherwise mediocre mobility of the guardian. The biggest downside is there is no real ranged option. Yes you can run scepter (or staff), but it will deal extremely shitty dps. Knowing when to dodge or use aegis is a must on this build, but it's quite forgiving fortunately. Even when you miss one or two you're still fine because of all the buffer. Speaking of staffs. Don't be afraid to change greatsword to staff as it will provide quite some healing and might to allies. Why choose between dps and support when you can be both? ;). Also this might be a bit unconventional, but with a staff it's not bad in fractals as a hybrid healer/dps (if your

Oh god, I still cannot grasp the amazingness of a Cele Firebrand. This is an extremely interesting build as, since it's condi being so strong, it's fire damage is almost considered burst on it's own, Cele goes one step further and gives full access to usage of all three tomes. It really shows the high healing coefficient of Tome of Resolve (I did not realize how high it was until I tried Cele) and gives better boon duration from Tome of Courage. I think this is the best class to invest in a full Celestial kit along with Tempest, hands down.

After additional testing, I'm fairly comfortable saying that this build outperforms its viper and trailblazer cousins by a wide margin. Celestial was practically made for Firebrand.
