The best rev build, provides massive amount of party sustain and damage. Should be in the meta section over the backline one.
Hands down, best Rev build for the current meta as of 5/2019. Dwarf gives great push support through damage reduction and 2nd stability access. Glint gives great boon support with access to superspeed and reveal, both useful in the current meta. Very strong support, still considerable damage due to damage modifiers.
Really good build. Always use invocation and switch devastation or retribution depending how much you rallybot. I would equip some other gear and it is pretty easy to have 100% crit and still be tanky enough to stay on tag.
I run this build in group WvW and it has great sustain and damage.
I call it an immortal build and so many advantages such as boonshare, CC and fantastic damage!
A stable in frontline parties- the boon contribution alone makes this build good, but coupled with the high personal sustain and ability to deal some of the best damage in the zerg let alone your front line makes this an excellent build that is a must have for any competitive zerg.
Extremely strong and easy to use build that forms a core part of WvW frontline along with AH guard. Other classes such as Guardian and Chronomancer have similar passive might stacking and resistance generation, but none compare to the extremely high damage, utility, personal stability and flexibility of frontline Herald.
Frontline Herald is good, but this build is too squishy for a frontline without stability. The armor needs to be soldier. Traits are good, same for runes and sigils. Normally i swap mallix for jalis.
Marauder's is quite easy to make. You can use this recipe: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Marauder_Intricate_Gossamer_Insignia
An alternative to Marauder's would be a mix of Soldier's and Berserker gear.
You should take devastation over herald though, it is higher average dps and group damage buff and an unblockability proc if you are the only herald in your party.
Great build that showcases all the requirements for the revenant in zergs.
I tried this build out and I had a blast on it. I suck at revenant, but wanted to try it and had a hard time with the other build for GvG. With this build, I didn't down once and on our server, we're usually facing 40+ (DB). I haven't used it in an actual GvG situation, but it had great support for the zerg and still put out a ton of damage. The only thing I can think of is maybe you should add a couple more rune and sigil options? I used Hoelbrak rather than Melandru with it before I changed it to Durability (took me a while to get them). I lived longer with Durability once I did get them, but put out more damage with Hoelbrak. Making the items on here a little more accessible is the only thing I can see that would be an issue.
Great Sustain, good group support, great range pressure via hammer
Great mobility and damage with easily accessible damage mitigation for self and allies. High team utility and sustain.
