This build guide does not match the build. DPS Holosmith in itself is a 4 star class, but this guide does not reflect that.

This build is not correct. Traitlines as well as traits are completely wrong ! Usage is talking about Iron Blooded but the build is using the firearms traitline. Also, PBM Module is not selected. Static shield is mentioned in the description but the build has a rifle selected. Please fix.

This build is highly limited. Rifle brings better ranged pressure, as well as higher burst damage. Explosives brings less use than Tools, and this build lacks mobility as well as utility because of it. Additionally, Light Density Amplifier and Photonic Blast Module are the worst options to take in a WvW focused Holosmith build. Prismatic Converter and either Thermal Release Valve or Enhanced Capacity Storage Unit are superior in pretty much every way. Whilst the self detonate and high uptime of Laser's Edge are nice, the low uptime of holoforge, as well as the low ranged pressure really limits it - and requires it to be carried really hard in order for it to be effective.

A super powerful build, able to take out top spot for DPS consistantly, but with an extremely high skill ceiling due to limited sustain and cleanse options. A well played holosmith can generate fight changing downs and secure cleave.

This is a fantastic build that is challenging and enjoyable to play. I mainly roam in WvW, and have consistently won 1v1s, 1v2s, and even 1v3s. Currently, I have three pieces of Soldier gear, with the rest being Marauders. This build offers an abundance of self-sustain, damage. Unfortunately, mobility will be your worst enemy. To counter this, I gave up Elixir S for Rocket Boots, but the tool belt Elixir S skill is extremely pivotal to your survival so I reverted. Inventions is a great alternative as well. Also, your overheating mechanic hits incredibly hard. When you're fighting Thieves, try to time PBM so that they teleport into your blast. Fun stuff. Overall, a very solid build that I'll proceed to use.
