Brought it back from the archives just now as the power build we were offering for mesmer got nerfed multiple times, meanwhile scepter got buffed quite a bit. Still below that of elite specs and most core specs, and honestly I DO NOT recommend it for ranked above Gold division, but if you are a F2P player who wants to play mes this should do the trick.

It's a good build, don't get me wrong, but Condi engineer would probably be a better choice for condi

Had better performance and ease of use with the mantra lockdown build than this.

Best viable f2p build for mesmer.

This build was fun to play, and I'll admit I had my fair share of fun with my mesmer. However, the one thing that tended to get to me is when the enemy would dodge my first set of shatters. It lengthens the battle and since I tend to use this leaning more towards burst, it made me feel humiliated to have to use my auto attacks to generate clones or conditions while I waited for the skills to recharge. The most damage results in using all the weapon skills, which then leaves me hanging since I have no other damage skills when my 6-0 is full of completely defensive or utility items. I will admit, I've avoided more than a few scrapes with them, but it does feel a bit limited on the damage end, which in the end is what makes the difference between good and great. Another thing that got me a lot was some proper condition applying. A good ranger, necromancer, or even thief could take me down before I could throw up enough cleanses to fight back. I mean, I only played with it for a few hours after toying with it in the HotM golem and dummy section, but it doesn't seem like something I'd use again.

- One of the strongest builds 1v1 wise. - You can easily troll people that don't have much experience. - Good condition pressure.

Managed to win all 1v1 situations with this build. Honestly I can't remember the last time I died with this build. Really great all-rounder if the player is used to it and somehow skilled.

Both the Chaos and Inspiration variants are viable, able to deal a large amount of condition pressure while being somewhat survivable. The inspiration variant is very good in most 1v1 scenarios, but falls far short when +1ed. The chaos variant has great escape mechanics and has a 2-second high burst rotation from Scepter #3. However, in large teamfights, or fights not on small points (ex: Foefire mid), neither build excels. While not as great as PU power shatter currently, it does have a place in both team and solo metas.

It has no place in this meta as in a team it does nothing for the team as it lacks EVERYTHING a mesmer brings exchanging it for what other classes can just do better

Very potent alternative to the usual power shatter. I am not sure about signet of inspiration since condi mesmer is not amazing in group fights anyway. Portal would be a better choice in a somewhat organized team, else I would choose mirror image for a stronger burst.

Can be improved by introducing PU traits with Mass inv. I also find the Condi Duration/Blind signet works better than the boon share. It should have been longer in draft to better define the parameters of the build (it has a lot of potential through some refinement).

Works well as a dueling spec, but has hard counters since it is mostly condi dmg; This build is hard to pull off for anyone beginning to play; in particular, targeting the right person and positioning holds specifically important with this build and any Mesmer build. In my opinion, this has an easier time in a 1v2 or 2v1 compared to the guard bunker, but this build is more of a bunker/roaming build. I use these sigils: Doom/Energy on both sets, and I also use Mirror Images over the signet of inspiration.

can hold point with many sustain boons, blind, reflect abilities perform as good as any point holder beside bunker guard while doing dmg bring both direct dmg and condition dmg while buffing your team at the right moment with boons and time warp

Condition mesmer are a very strong duelling build. The problem is it's too slow to kill enemies and doesn't provide enough sustain to be a good point holder/support as a bunker guardian.
