Overview

A condition DPS Mirage build that also provides permanent Alacrity Alacrity and 25 stacks of Might Might to 5 players by spamming the ambush skill . It excels against bosses that attack a lot due to a large portion of its damage coming from Confusion Confusion. It is also highly survivable and can easily avoid boss attacks because it is in for most of its rotation. Also incidentally provides Fury Fury, Aegis Aegis and Resolution Resolution to party members through and .

Weapon Variants

One of your staffs may be swapped for Axe/Pistol. This will be a significant increase in damage but severely reduces your Alacrity Alacrity generation dependent on how many staff clones you maintain, so you will need another source of Alacrity Alacrity to make it permanent. Two mirages running Staff & Axe/Pistol will provide more damage than one Staff mirage and one DPS mirage.

  • Running a Focus instead of a Pistol generates more Confusion Confusion if you're able to consistently get the to combo with an ethereal or smoke field. The phantasm will not prioritise your own fields however, so this may be ineffective if your group is dropping a lot of "bad" combo fields (such as light or water fields).

    • If running the Axe variant, it is important not to run as you don't want to generate any staff clones when you don't want to.

  • This setup has ~17% boon duration (not including the extra from )

Boon Duration Variants

The minimum boon duration (not including the extra from ) required is ~10%, but in practise it is recommended to go higher. The recommended setup uses ~17%, which can be achieved in several ways.

If you do not have access to Ritualist stats Ritualist stats gear:

  • provides the required boon duration, but also gives you +36 toughness, which could be a problem in raids.
    • To make up for the lower condi duration, use (or alternatives).
  • and/or is also an option.
    • will get you to the minimum boon duration, but it is not recommended to go this low unless you're very confident.

In fractals, the extra concentration and endurance regeneration from mobility potions may allow you to run with less boon duration on your gear, or play the Axe/Pistol variant without compromising Alacrity Alacrity.

Permanent or high uptime on the three key boons for an alacrity support, and capable of dealing great damage against bosses that attack frequently. The Staxe build is one of the strongest builds in the game if you can share alacrity generation.

Deals ludicrous damage with a very simple while also taking care of an entire squad's Alacrity and Might.
