Overview

This build is designed for 1 vs 1 WvW solo roaming. It specializes in maintaining a high chill up-time and ability to reapply chills easily. You literally chill your opponent into submission.

You basically want to give all your chills longer duration and have even more ability to reapply the chills.

Usage

  • Stagger the chills you apply via your skills and utilities and shrouds so that the enemy is constantly chilled. Chill does not stack in intensity but in duration. So do not spam all your chill skills at one go.
    • No natural counter to this build apart from Diamond Skin Elementalist/Tempest. But that is why we have Carrion for Power which gives you a small chance against them.
    • Chills can be reapplied constantly which makes condi clearance of minimal use against you.
  • Great synergy between the traits for shouts and signets, giving you low cooldown shouts that all applies chills, even your healing due to Grenth runes.
    • Decent boon corruption from your signets
    • Good condi transfers against opponents with Dagger 4, Staff 4 and Plague signet
  • Decent Vulnerability and Might stacking
  • Decent Lifeforce generation with Chilling Force trait as your opponent is almost always chilled.

Strong build for 1v1 situations- falls off against strong damage and CC and lacks some focus in build direction.

Tried this build tonight while roaming and had some wonderful success will definitely be running it again, made some variations to the utilities by changing out Spite Signet for spectral walk, and your soul is mine for consume conditions. I look forward to seeing changes to further improve this build!
