Overview

A pure support Renegade build which can be played as the main healer in dungeons and fractals or the secondary healer in raids. This build provides excellent healing, CC, Might Might, Alacrity Alacrity, and the Assassin's Presence buff. However it is heavily dependent on teammates being able to stack inside the AoE range of its tablet.

If paired with a source of Quickness Quickness, such as a Chronomancer - Utility Boon Support or Firebrand - Quickness Support DPS, this build can cover the offensive support for a party. A Chronomancer paired with this build can drop their alacrity generation tools (primarily Well of Recall) and take more offensive options instead.

Specializations

Specialization Variants

  • Lasting Legacy over Righteous Rebel for more Might Might output, at the cost of being unable to provide 10-target Alacrity Alacrity. Generally this swap should only be made if you have another source of might in your party.
  • Selfless Amplification can be taken instead of Generous Abundance if you are not taking Ventari, as far fewer orbs will be created in this case.

Invocation Variant

Invocation is worth running instead of Devastation if your party is mostly condition DPS which doesn't benefit much from Assassin's Presence. This variant provides some extra boons on legend swap as well as higher energy if managed well.

If the extra healing is not required, you could take Invocation instead of Salvation in order to maximise group damage through both Assassin's Presence and higher uptime of Soulcleave's Summit.

Usage

Simply using the following skills on cooldown will maintain 20 Might Might (25 with Lasting Legacy) and permanent Alacrity Alacrity for your party:

  • Orders from Above
  • Heroic Command
  • Other than maintaining boons, while in Legendary Renegade Stance you should cast Breakrazor's Bastion and Soulcleave's Summit.
  • While in Legendary Centaur Stance extra energy can be used on weapon skills for DPS (if on sword/sword):
    • Chilling Isolation
    • Shackling Wave
    • Deathstrike

General

  • Warding Rift can be used to AoE blind trash mobs and block attacks.
  • Renewing Wave is a blast finisher and can be used with 24px Protective Solace or another light combo field to clean a large amount of conditions.
  • Natural Harmony can be used before the tablet is moved, so that the healing effect occurs directly at the destination.

CC

  • Surge of the Mists is your most effective hard CC. Make sure to step back slightly from the target before casting this to maximize the amount of hits you get from the skill.
  • Energy Expulsion is also a potent hard CC, but keep in mind that your tablet will be destroyed and your energy will be drained to 0.

Since the ratings are somewhat old, I'd like to reiterate: Paired with a Quickbrand or Healbrand, Alacren is the actual meta support in all PvE modes. 100% alacrity uptime, some might and great DPS boost with Soulcleave's Summit. The tablet gives some useful utilities, like Protective Solace for projectiles and Purifying Essence for condition cleansing. The healing power is very strong; if your legend swap is in cooldown, even the heal skill in Kalla is strong. However, the heal is burstier (less sustained healing) and you may need to move the tablet around to heal, making it a bit harder to use. Learning it pays off, though.

An extremely strong healer, exceptionally underrated healer. Soulcleave's Summit is absolute nuts when used well being both a DPS boost and a decent 'heal'. Probably one of the best choices for a second healer if you need one, as nothing else can bring Soulcleave's Summit and Assassin's Presence. Only problem is frequent movement might cause trouble if inexperienced with the build.

An exceptionally strong and underrated healer for 5-man content or off-healer in raids. This build brings ridiculous amount of concentrated AoE healing which trivializes things like outhealing VG greens. It also has extremely high reflect uptime on its tablet, which allows it to effortlessly ferry the oozes in Aetherpath, among other things.

Great build, extremely high burst healing, nice alacrity or might sharing, and crazy amount of life steal/damage through Soulcleave's summit to your group. Sadly this build is underrated and often not accepted because of the "druid meta" bandwagon. (Additionally, Kala damage boost isn't captured by dps meter.)

Strong boon and heal output make healing renegade a strong choice for a 2nd healer (instead of running 2 druids) if needed in a squad.
