A moderate increase in DPS for the loss of a huge amount of support. Swapping out staff for the shortbow does give a range option, but the utility of the staff in the form of a heal, cleanse, block, and huge knockback is lost. The stance skills are weak in the fact that they die fast and are not very useable in open-field fighting unless playing in a pick role from the sidelines. I cannot feasibly rate this higher even though DPS is higher. Glint is a huge loss. Fury, might, perma swiftness between battles, etc. The renegade stance does not shine enough to warrant the glint loss. I would almost rather run Dwarf than Renegade. The use of bleeding is a nice addition, however, as it can now cover the torment and burning, allowing them the potential to be more damaging and less cleansed. UPDATE - 20180522 Changed this build to GREAT (Rating as tested with Dwarf Stance and using Retribution traits). After much testing, I have found that a combination of Dwarf Stance + Versed in Stone is an excellent counter to the SB Bubble meta. Strong damage mitigation capabilities, alternate stab support for parties with Dwarf Stance, very good durability for a push comp. Mallyx provides strong AoE boon rip, and good Resistance access. Damage on this build can be very strong if part of a push comp that can maximize usage of Searing Fissure. Very decent CC with Temporal Rift.

Currently this build is not great. - Shortbow skills are in general not very strong, and it is very difficult to apply effective range pressure. The corruption traitline was nerfed with the condition damage rework and with this the torment spike that it used to put out is severely weakened. - Considering its melee role, this build has a very hard time in dealing with spellbreaker WoD as it relies on resistance to deal with conditions, and lacks reliable stunbreaks, blocks or cleanses to mitigate this problem. The jalis elite is easily interrupted in WoD. - As for boon removal, it is useful but not great, and it's not like there is a lack of boonrip in the current meta with scourge and spellbreaker. - In terms of this build serving as a melee supporter, the power renegade is definitively superior in all regards as it has access to staff for blocks and mobility, and hammer to assist in ranged pressure that is actually effective. To conclude, for every role that this build aims to perform, there is a different build or class that performs significantly better, making condi renegade effectively useless.

The previous Glint/Mallyx build, as strong as it is, has three main drawbacks: 1) No range; 2) Lack of a proper secondary condi weapon: Staff is mostly used to run away, stack Corruption and some CC; 3) No stability; Renegade seemed like the perfect solution for the first two issues but it unfortunately it has some big drawbacks, all at the cost of the support from Glint: - Renegade utilities/elite spawn NPCs, these have too little health and toughness and will die within 2 seconds of being spawned on most 20+ men zerg fights. This can effectively render Renegade skills borderline useless in several situations; - Careful positioning of the Renegade skills is hard and doesn't often work due to their small 360 radius, short 600 range and long cast times; - Shortbow skills can feel clunky and slow with long cast times that can be interrupted. Even worse, 3 out of 5 skills are projectiles that can be and are often blocked or reflected. This also applies to the otherwise incredibly strong F3 skill Citadel Bombardment; This build offers a considerably higher potential damage than the already strong Glint/Mallyx one but it comes at the cost of Glint's utility/support and its drawbacks are more often than not too frustrating to cope with outside of PvE.
