UPDATE 2019 20 03 With Scrapper+Antitoxin being part of the meta game, condis are basically non existant, increasing the potential of power spike oriented builds like this. Defenitely a must. Amazing build. It is able to provide crazy spikes of damage and has a great cleave potential. Shines at open field fights, but not as good as Celestial variant for smaller spaces and GvGs.

Really like this build, have been having great success in WvW, not great at roaming or 1v1s but that is not its job anyway.

Been running the Original Trailblazer build except with undead runes instead of nightmare. I don't understand the point of power scourge. You might as well run another class that is straight dps like backline Rev? Still killing other scourges fairly easily despite it not being meta. Which tells me some of these other comments are correct that it's just autopilot zerg build. The original build was about boon stripping but now we are just going straight damage? What's the point?

A decent build. But I would say Celestial/Grieving outshines it if your group is organized. This build is really only good for pugmanading with a Tag who only pirate ships. I also believe Staff really encourages laziness and most people never even swap to Axe. You rely way too much on high CD's. Corrupts/strips are also incredibly low compared to the Celestial build due to no Scepter or Curses line.

Lacking a bit in sustained damage against Celestial builds, and yes now lacking considerably in the boonrip department due to not using scepter. But still probably the highest available spike which isn't that hard to pull off.

Almost no corrupts, which is necros Purpose in WvW. Damage is only second Job for necros in wvw. best would be a hybrid build, that focusses more on boon corrupts with curses line missing. thought About only giving it 3 stars

A very solid build for easy zergling mode while able to survive very well but struggle quite a lot in 1v1 situations. Overall this is a good build.

if you want to play with the necromancer in wvw this build is the best solution, for direct damage, aoe and boon corruption

It's a great build, but i would still rank it bellow celestial variant. I know that celestial has less damage burst and ussualy also overall, but it has better sustain (self and group) and even in 15 man guild groups damage from 5-6 scourges is enough to down all the people that are caught, also curse/scepter buffs recently.

Powerful build, and long overdue on this website. The recent, much-needed nerfs to condi DPS on the Scourge has paved the way for power to shine once again. Not as high DPS as Reaper, but the amount of corruption and barrier support makes this build shine, especially as the meta shifts to more balanced between melee push comps and pirate ship ranged comp.

A powerful power build that deals exceptional damage at mid to close range. Drops off at long distance fights.
