Overview

A Scourge build that brings heavy support in raids and fractals. This build provides sustained healing and extreme resurrecting ability. In addition, it can provide some Might Might to its subgroup, or deal respectable damage if using the Hybrid DPS variant.

It should be noted that most of the healing is in the form of barrier, which isn't reduced by Agony Agony (in fractals) and makes it easier to maintain uptime. This makes it an excellent healer in a fractal group that already has Fury Fury covered by a Firebrand, or in a raid squad that already has a Druid.

Equipment Variants

The above gear is only one possibility. Marshal stats Marshal stats, Plaguedoctor stats Plaguedoctor stats and Shaman stats Shaman stats can be mixed and matched to suit you, though you should keep the following guidelines in mind:

  • 842 is about the minimum viable healing power. With ~1318 being recommended.
  • You should try to keep your vitality above 1510 as this allows you to comfortably run Curses. If you will only ever be running Soul Reaping you can drop down to ~1300 without too much trouble.

Sigils

  • and only provide around 100 healing per second each, so you could replace them with and for more damage. may be used as a budget replacement for in this case.
    • Note that increases your revive speed from and , so it has value beyond raw healing.

Consumables

Food

Utility

  • can be used if you find yourself often reviving. Note that this does grant 75 toughness, which may interfere with boss aggro in rare cases - eat different food if this is going to be an issue.

Usage

Healing

  • Your healing is divided between refreshing barriers on your allies and slow healing over time.
  • Switch to staff whenever Regeneration Regeneration runs out and use three times before swapping back. You can also dodge to trigger .
  • You can stack multiple barriers to preempt heavy damage, but keep in mind that barriers are capped at 50% of your ally's maximum health.
  • Use off cooldown for AoE pulsing heals. Delay it if you anticipate that you might need to vacuum up downed allies.

Might

  • Use , , , , and off cooldown to provide might as required.
  • Always have your Sand Shade up to get the 225 bonus concentration from .

CC

  • - note that this is also your primary sustained heal

General Tips

  • Try to place your shade on one side of the group, and stand on the other side - this will help spread barrier more evenly.
  • If running the Hybrid DPS variant, feel free to use for DPS whenever you have the life force to do so.
  • If lots of boonstrip is needed, remember that and strip boons as well.
  • pierces; if there are multiple enemies, hit as many targets as possible to keep your life force up.

Difficult to rate. If you need it, there is nothing that adds the sheer amount of safety and recovery a heal scourge offers. If you don't need it, it's a waste of a group slot. The move to 5-man boons has made it harder to justify in raids where you'll already have 4 supports so it's easy to make two of them healers rather than dedicating an entire spot to a healer that provides nothing but might.

Very solid build with numerous variants, great for support as necro.

This build can carry nearly any pug groups in fractals (and strike missions too). Easy to learn, easy to master from very simple rotations and good CC. The plaguedoctor variant is decent too with great torment damage.

This build provides much safer clears in fractals and raids. Top-tier damage mitigation in the from of barrier, respectable healing from well of blood and traits, and ludicrous rezz capability. Not only can you rezz incredibly fast, you can rezz in an area, and that's assuming your party even goes down in the first place. An excellent pick for any groups looking for a safer but slower clear.

This is perhaps one of the best support builds right now in-game as of March 2020! I was skeptical when I first tried the build but it was all for nothing in the end. This build can easily carry struggling fractal groups! It has very strong barriers and very strong heals making it REALLY hard for anyone to die even if they face tank the fights. Your allies died anyway? Worry not, with this build you can teleport your downed ally and revive them REALLY fast. Basically this expands the "safety margin" in which dictates how many times the party can mess up without a wipe. Disclaimer: I've only tried it on Fractals as I have not done any raids. Also, I changed a bit of the build mixing in a bit of Nomad gear for a lot of extra Toughness at the cost of Precision and SLIGHT decrease of healing power, Vitality stays the same. Making this change allowed me to not feel any danger most of the time as my character has been really really tanky. Note: Don't expect to kill things fast though, the dps of this build is definitely bad even at the support standard.

Very powerful build that can bring some respectable numbers for a support if you build for it. Barrier can often save an inexperienced person from a death to agony, and brings quite a bit of boon strip for "No Pain No Gain" instabilities, and lots of CC. Unquestionably powerful for this game type.

Scourge shouldn't be played in fractals as it doesn't offer boons or damage that other classes offer. The only thing that is of value on a condi scourge is the epidemic, but it doesn't help too much unless you are fighting fights with multiple mobs and you have a team filled with condition DPSes. The healing of this build is also very low and doesn't substitute a healer in comps that would call for a healer anyway.

One of the best healers for fractals, and an extremely strong healer in training raids. Thanks to the constant broken resurrects, it's almost impossible for your group to wipe with a healing Scourge.
