Great burst damage and extremely high mobility makes this a great build for tearing though mobs and even higher level enemies with relative ease. The biggest issues this build suffers from is a lack of sustain. Even with durability runes slotted, it is easy to find yourself getting consistently chipped away at when taking on difficult content. This build will destroy anything in central Tyria but you will find that HoT, PoF, and living world content will pose difficulty requiring better play or other members in your squad.
Currently an excellent choice for any ranger player and anyone who likes to see big red numbers pop up on their screens. It has good survivability, good damage, and can range. Not really much to say, its simple, but effective. 5/5
I've been a ranger main since gw1 and this build is great for solo. Only time I've been downed is when I wasn't paying attention and aggro'd a patrol. I'm running Berserker because I don't have Marauder yet, but I have no issues surviving. I enjoy the burst soulbeast has compared to core ranger, and the versatility it gives depending which pet you use.
One of the best open world builds for ranger. You can get away with a lot here, it's extremely versatile and useful in just about every area of open world. Very, VERY high burst.
