Overview

A fresh iteration of the Heart of Thorns era build, Power Berserker. This version has strong burst and sustained damage from spamming Decapitate in Berserk.

Skill Variants

  • Throw Bolas or Bull's Charge can replace Wild Blow or Signet of Might. This will provide more burst DPS through Peak Performance, but will be lower DPS long-term so you'll need to know what your phase times will be. Therefore this is more viable in fractals than in raids.

Equipment Variants

Depending on your ability to flank, you may be better off running Rune of Superior Rune of the Eagle or even Rune of Superior Rune of the Scholar. In such cases you will need to increase the number of assassin pieces to make up for the lost precision. This is particularly relevant in fractals, where you have lots of additional precision from fractal potions and it can be very difficult to flank your targets.

In fractals, you may want to replace the Sigil of Superior Sigil of Hydromancy on the greatsword with a Sigil of Superior Sigil of Impact.

For detailed gear variants, see Build:Berserker_-_Power_Bannerslave.

Utility

Usage

Video Example

The rotation aims to get as many casts of Decapitate and Arc Divider off during Berserk mode as possible. Effectively, this means that while on Axe/Axe you cast Decapitate followed by a combination of skills that gets you back to 10 Adrenaline to recast Decapitate. These combinations can be any of the following, listed in order of which they should be used:

  1. Whirling Axe - note that you should let this fully channel, don't interrupt it once you have full adrenaline!
  2. Cyclone Axe + Throw Axe
  3. Head Butt + Outrage
  4. Dual Strike + Throw Axe

If you would be forced to autoattack on axe, swap to greatsword instead and use:

  1. Arc Divider
  2. Bladetrail
  3. Hundred Blades
  4. Arc Divider

When you're not in Berserk mode, you can follow the same general principles, replacing your Burst skill casts with auto-attack chains in the respective weapons.

General Tips

  • Unless you know you'll need it for CC soon, use Wild Blow on cooldown while in Berserk mode.
  • Outrage will come off cooldown in between Head Butt casts - you can use it immediately as it doesn't interrupt other channels.
    • You can also save Outrage to break stuns inflicted during the encounter if you think you may need to.
  • Generally you shouldn't be auto-attacking while Berserk mode is active.
  • Never interrupt your Axe auto-attack chains when you're not in Berserk Mode

Decent Damage. The rotation is easy to understand.

A very fast-paced build that will do well on any encounter where it can reliably hit the boss to maintain berserk, dealing a good amount of CC as it does so.

good damage, but the lack of cc doesn't give it much carry potential, two skills both with 20 second cds between, the build works well if you can rely on your group

Awesome build! I came back to the game from a long break I was using Phalanx Strength warrior build and luckily I found this one and I didn't have to switch gear or anything just sigils. This build is way more OP then the one I was using before, tho warrior is still kinda squishy but thats propably just how it is ^^ I love this build.

I legit stopped playing my warrior because of the recent changes to Berserker. I thought the spec was ruined, but this came along. Always glad to see an axe/axe warr build. Super fun to play. 5/5

Nice burst damage. For fractals, dungeons, and Power damage on raids i t works. You can use shield for more CC and protect, or another good option for healing is the berserker one. I almost prefer full zojja + fury signet, anyway that's just a personal opinion :p
