A really good build when used right, harder to play than a Power Build, but is as efficient dps wise if not more

You can easily drop caltrops for a utility and still have a really good dps

I aslo recommend this build over zerk in Caudecus Manor

This build is great in one scenario and Good in an other:´

Great : In very short boss fights. ( the once so prevalent in GW2.) Shortly before might stacking apply the first set of of poisons and 20 seconds later/when the fight starts the 2nd set. The burst is amazing (and it is just fun to see up to 12k poison/tick.)

Good: Funny enaugh this condi build's weakness is exactly other builds strength: longer fights. If you can't relie on the Double poison burst the dps of this build falls below a standard Power build.

SO in short:

+

VERY high burst if timed right

VERy high single target dmg

Very high survivability( because of life steal/ evades)

Fun/something different to play

(some group support with might/not really needed)

-

DMG not as good in longer fights

Death blossom can mess up stacking (be careful)

While trash runs 2nd dagger has sometimes to be swtiched for a pistol (reduces dmg but you really dont miss dmg while trash runs)

TO sum up:

Its a fun/different build wich has very high burst:

The main point against Condi builds in this game is the time it needs to get high on damage. Venom share solves this problem as your teammates' venoms are making up that time giving you burst condition damage.

I still feel like the damage is behind zerk's, so it wont get to be Meta, but it is still worth if you like the playstyle (or just wanna do smth different!)

I recommend this build over zerk in Caudecus Manor, since you need to stealth lots of time and you'll be on shadow arts on all the paths, better get a sinister set than watse time changing traits all the time

So let's sum it up.

Damage: The condi build has a dps of about 15000 if you have both venoms equipped which is nearly the same as the standard power build. In this aspect I would still favor the power build since condis have a ramp up time and can be cleansed.

Utility: The power build doesn't have to wait for utility cooldowns for stealthing between the fights. The power build can swap in a pistol for blinds in fights and still do a decent dmg. The condi build cannot do that. It is also possible for the power build to efficiently pull stacks right now and still do a decent damage. The venom build cannot do that right now, but might be able to crush break bars when hot hits. So right now I would also favor the power build utility wise.

Misc.: The condi build could have troubles with adminstering the venom to bosses if the trash mobs get hit.

Conclusion: The venom share build is a good build, but right now the power build is still superior to it since it has better utility and no ramp up time for damage as well as no gimmicky venoms that might get applied to the wrong enemy. Fredor (talk) 12:56, 8 October 2015 (UTC)
