Edited: deals good condition damage. I honestly don’t even think it’s that good, but it’s basically the only condition thief that works and condition thief can counter quiet a few meta builds and comps, so it just happens to get carried by that
4 stars because the build is strong, but I wouldn’t recommend it to new players. The timing on the burst can be tricky and work best in 1v1’s. You need to be sure you aren’t going to miss, or that it’s not just going to be cleansed. It’s easier in duels to watch for when your opponent has used up their condi cleanses, then you burst them down. Due to all the chaos in teamfights, bursting there can be extremely difficult, especially if they have support teammates there, but there’s plenty of skills you can use to contribute even without the burst.
1 star because it's fun to troll with, but has no real use past that. If the burst lands and the target can't cleanse then yeah GG that's a kill right there. But if they cleanse/dodge it or their teammate jumps you then you'll just die. Sorry but I don't see this working above silver maybe. Main hand pistol has always been a meme and will continue to be.
With the current meta being the way it is. This build thrives. With other classes gaining mobility the thief slowly lost what made it special. This build capitalizes on that. With a little less movement speed, it puts more emphasis on hitting hard while sustaining. You have great CC while also hitting like a condition damage truck. Necro and warrior are extremely easy to handle on this build. You can make a difference in a team fight as well as winning most 1v1's on a side node. This build is so strong in so many areas. I've been using it in Plat 2 with great success. I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys condi thief.
