Hellfire Hands Solo PvP Build
Strengths
- Good Mobility
- High Damage
Weaknesses
- Low Survivability
- High Skill Ceiling
Overview
This Elder's Hellfire Hands solo PvP focuses on using high mobility coupled with the combo of Infernal Boulder & Triple Kick to deliver high damage. While it takes a bit of time to learn the combo and how to play the build, it becomes very dangerous in the hands of any player experienced enough as it can do well against most builds normally found in both mists and corrupted dungeons.
Equipment
Usage
Elder's Hellfire Hands
Dragon Leap — This is one of your two movement abilities. With a very short cooldown, Dragon Leap can be used a lot to gain distance from enemies or to chase down fleeing players. If you manage to kick at least one enemy, then you can recast the ability with the same 2.5m range and the target hit will be knocked into the air for 0.5s.
Triple Kick — This is your secondary movement ability and also the one you use after using Infernal Boulder in order to push the enemy into the boulder that keeps rolling.
Infernal Boulder — This is the main damaging ability of your build and combos perfectly with Triple Kick. It bounces a boulder 3 times and your goal is to force your enemy into taking damage from each bounce.
Hard to Catch — This passive offers you extra resistance when you use Triple Kick and helps a lot with your overall survival.
Elder's Assassin Jacket
Ambush — You want to use this to reset cooldowns and essentially kite. Whenever you miss your combo or need to disengage for a bit, this invisibility helps a lot. It is also great for stacking up damage before using Ballista Support Fire out of stealth when your enemy doesn't expect it, translating well into your combo.
Balanced Mind — This passive increases your damage which is perfect.
Elder's Royal Helmet
Ballista Support Fire — This is the starting skill you should use to begin your combo as it stuns an enemy and deals a bit of damage, guaranteeing that you land your Infernal Boulder & Triple Kick combo.
Toughness — As there aren't many options, this passive increases your defense which is always good to have.
Elder's Assassin Shoes
Refreshing Sprint — Because of the long cooldown of Ballista Support Fire, any CD decreasing ability will help. Refreshing Sprint is a great choice as it offers a run with a decent duration while also decreasing the cooldowns of ALL your abilities.
Balanced Mind — This passive provides flat extra damage, perfect for the build.
Elder's Thetford Cape
Chain Lightning — This is a cheap option for some extra damage as it releases a lightning once every 15-ish seconds by simply auto-attacking an enemy. Keep in mind that the Chain Lightning spreads out to other nearby mobs and players alike and can pull aggro.
A more expensive option would be the Elder's Avalonian Cape as the damage is comparable but this cape is normally more expensive.
Rotations
- You normally want to try and start the combo out of Ambush as it increases the damage you do, but you can also use this defensively or to get away. Use Ballista Support Fire to stun and allow you to use Poison Potion to lower their defenses and deal damage to your target. Continue the combo using Infernal Boulder but keep in mind the direction you casted the skill. Follow up with Triple Kick in the direction of the boulder so they take full damage from the ability before you use Dragon Leap coupled with auto-attacks triggering Chain Lightning to finish them off.
Consumables
Major Poison Potion — This can be used either in the middle of the combo or after you've already executed your rotation to finish off targets.
Deadwater Eel Stew — This food combines the effect of Beef Stew and Pork Omelette. You can use the 6.1 version instead as its usually cheaper and offers comparable stats.
