Overview
This Elder's Incubus Mace PVE build is one of the top choices for all PVE content in Albion Online, including but not limited to Dungeons, Avalonian Roads Chests and Statics. It is a fantastic choice for any new player looking to fill the tank role of a party as it offers great utility while remaining easy to play. The unique
Shrinking Curse skill of the
Elder's Incubus Mace is incredibly powerful as it lowers the max HP of mobs, making it easier for your party to clear out groups of mobs with ease.
Equipment

Usage
Elder's Incubus Mace
Threatening Smash — This is the main skill for keeping aggro as it does AOE damage in a close radius near you. Use it every time it is off cooldown to maintain mob aggro and keep them from attacking your DPS members.
Air Compressor — The
Air Compressor skill is very versatile as it allows for both interrupting mobs and pulling them together, making it much easier to stack and allow DPS to clear them out.
Shrinking Curse — Use this at the beginning of a pull once the mobs are stacked up with
Air Compressor, it will lower the max HP of mobs and make it easier to clear them out.
Energetic — Great for sustaining your mana so you don't have to resort to using
Elder's Lymhurst Cape.
Elder's Guardian Armor
Enfeeble Aura — Use this to lower the damage done by mobs. Best when used during the DPS phase when your group is dealing damage and burning down the group of mobs you pulled just in case they might end up standing in AOE, make sure to touch the mobs casting spells with this Aura to lower their damage.
Toughness — An obvious choice as it increases overall defensive stats.
Protective Instinct — The best option which will help you keep aggro, adding extra passive threat generation when hitting mobs, helping keep mobs focusing you.
Elder's Assassin Hood
Meditation — Use this between pulls to refresh all your cooldowns, keep in mind however that this is a channeled ability and it can be cancelled so try to stay out of mobs range when using it.
Balanced Mind — Without much better options, use this to boost your damage a bit.
Elder's Royal Shoes
Evasive Jump — This is the perfect skill to use in order to dodge incoming damage as you become immune during the jump. While it takes a bit of times to get used to it and time it correctly, the
Evasive Jump is your most important tool in your tanking toolkit.
Balanced Mind — As no other good choices are there, this is fine for adding a bit of extra damage to your skills and also increase your defense just a little bit.
Elder's Martlock Cape
Shield of Protection — Used in most tank builds, it lowers the damage you take for a few seconds if your HP reaches 25%.
Rotations

- Start pulling the mobs by walking close to them while party members stay behind and not hit any of them. Once you've gathered the mobs, use
Threatening Smash to build up aggro on all of them. Follow up with
Air Compressor to tighten up the group of mobs before using
Shrinking Curse to lower mobs' max HP.
- Follow up with
Acid Potion to further lower mob resistances before using
Enfeeble Aura to make sure the mobs don't do too much damage.
Consumables
Major Acid Potion — This potion should be used on all pulls to lower mob resistances, keep in mind however that you don't have to use the tier 7 if you cannot afford it.
Beef Sandwich — Use this to add extra max HP for yourself, another option is using the
Avalonian Beef Sandwich but it is considerably more expensive.
