Overview
This Elder's Brawler Gloves specializes in quick kills and high mobility. With a relatively low skill floor, even new players can use this build successfully in mists or corrupted dungeons. While it is intended to be played as a solo build, the build can perform well even in group small scale fights as the Blazing Geyser does great AOE damage without a need for a long setup.
Equipment
Usage
Elder's Brawler Gloves
Dragon Leap — This is one of your two movement abilities. With a very short cooldown, Dragon Leap can be used a lot to gain distance from enemies or to chase down fleeing players while dealing good constant damage.
Devastating Combo — A great combo for high damage with little to no counterplay if used after Swift Cut. Try to use the Devastating Combo in order to set yourself up for Blazing Geyser.
Blazing Geyser — The highest damaging ability of the build that can easily be reset using Meditation for a second cast that finishes off even the tankiest enemies. Keep in mind that hitting a target with this also resets your Dragon Leap!
Rushdown — Each auto-attack will increase your movement speed and allow you to outrun enemies which really helps with your mobility!
Elder's Cleric Robe
Everlasting Spirit — This remains your main defensive ability and you should look to always force enemies into popping it before you use Meditation in order to minimize the damage you take while channeling Meditation. Let an enemy attack you after using the ability and the barrier making you invulnerable will appear on you for a short duration.
Aggression — The high damage increase of this passive cannot be missed as it pairs well with everything used in this build.
Elder's Assassin Hood
Meditation — Use this skill to reset the cooldown on both Blazing Geyser and Devastating Combo alongside Swift Cut, essentially resetting your whole combo.
Balanced Mind — This passive not only boosts your damage but also enhances your defense by a little bit.
Elder's Assassin Shoes
Swift Cut — Working a lot like it's alternative Elder's Hellion Shoes, the Swift Cut dashes you to a nearby enemy and deals damage, allowing you to follow up with Devastating Combo right after. Try to use this as much as possible in order to remain on your target and don't let them run out of your Swift Cut.
Balanced Mind — Like the other passives in this build, this one improves you damage and is a no-brainer for any DPS player.
Elder's Keeper Cape
Berserk — The lack of defenses in this build can make the Berserk truly shine as your HP will often drop below the 70% needed to trigger that 50% damage increase of this cape. Hitting someone with Devastating Combo and Devastating Combo while under the Berserk will decimate even the targets with high HP.
Rotations
- You want to start a fight using your Dragon Leap to poke the target and see what abilities you can bait out of them while you move around. Use your Poison Potion to deal high damage over time as you do your combo. Don't be afraid to also use the third hit on Dragon Leap to CC your target into the air. Follow up with Swift Cut regardless if they are trying to move away or not and then use Devastating Combo to stun them and deal high damage before continuing with Blazing Geyser as they are staggered and knocked back. Use Everlasting Spirit if they try to follow up with damage on you and then use Meditation to refresh your entire combo and do it again to get the kill. You want to use Dragon Leap to keep following them if they choose to run instead!
Consumables
Major Poison Potion — This will help a lot with your damage and will also apply a short slow if you hit the poisoned target, helping you stay on top of them. Major Poison Potion is also an option for certain match-ups and it doesn't hurt to have one in your inventory to drink when needed as it doesn't put your abilities on cooldown.
Beef Stew — Beef Stew significantly boosts your damage output, making it a top choice. Always try to bring atleast one 8.1 or 8.2 version of this.
