Keep in mind: Gear shown in this build is meant as a reference. Choosing the correct tier of gear is very tricky as there are many variables. Some of them being your budget, your spec and minimum Item Power requirements of your guild if used for ZvZ.

You should always check prices based on IP of the items. For example, a masterpiece quality 4.3 Elder's CryptcandleElder's Cryptcandle could be cheaper while providing roughly the same IP as an 8.0.

Usage

Elder's MaceElder's Mace

Sacred GroundSacred Ground — Very effective when placed in chokepoints due to the silence and slow it provides. Additionally, positioning it beneath enemies using channeled abilities will interrupt them, making it doubly useful.

Snare ChargeSnare Charge — A great skill for catching and slowing enemies, as the root can enable you or your allies to follow up with additional CC or damage. Air CompressorAir Compressor is an excellent choice when you can catch an enemy zerg without CC resistance, but you need to time it carefully to make it effective.

Deep LeapDeep Leap — Target enemy clumps or occasionally use it as just a stun on priority targets. If you're in a pinch and won't be able to use it to assist your zerg, it can serve as an escape movement skill.

EnergeticEnergetic — Great for sustaining your mana, but once you're familiar with the build and confident you won't need the mana regeneration, you can switch to Stunning StrikeStunning Strike.

Elder's Judicator ArmorElder's Judicator Armor

Force ShieldForce Shield — An amazing skill for saving the zerg or tanks that get caught. Demon armor with Protection of the FiendsProtection of the Fiends is invaluable if used well, but it can lead to more deaths if an ally isn't also using Protection of the FiendsProtection of the Fiends simultaneously to provide you with the extra resistance. If your zerg has a few Judicator armors, you should opt for using demon armor instead.

ToughnessToughness — Straight up increases your defenses. Always good on any tank build.

Protective InstinctProtective Instinct — The best option, and it can also be used occasionally to draw aggro from mobs, preventing them from attacking healers or other allies.

Elder's Knight HelmetElder's Knight Helmet

Displacement ImmunityDisplacement Immunity — You'll usually use this skill when engaging enemies to avoid getting interrupted, but remember you can also use it to support allies. Electric DischargeElectric Discharge from the Judicator Helm is also a good alternative option but currently not used often with this build.

ToughnessToughness — The standard choice for this build. Some people opt for TenacityTenacity, but prioritizing your defensive stats is usually more important.

Elder's Cleric SandalsElder's Cleric Sandals

BlinkBlink — A good movement skill to readjust and help with landing good Air CompressorAir Compressor clumps.

AggressionAggression — The standard choice for this build but you can also use EfficiencyEfficiency Remember that you can always switch to CourierCourier if needed.

Elder's Martlock CapeElder's Martlock Cape

Shield of ProtectionShield of Protection — Used in most tank builds, it can sometimes save you when caught in clumps. It activates automatically, like most capes, making it easy to benefit from.

Major Resistance PotionMajor Resistance Potion — Use it when you get targeted or get caught in a clump. Otherwise you just use it as a general defensive cooldown but you are tough enough to save it for when you really need it.

Avalonian Pork OmeletteAvalonian Pork Omelette — The buff to your defensive stats helps all tank builds and the cooldown reduction is always great to have. You could use a Pork OmelettePork Omelette but it is not recommended.
